The King was obviously in a forgiving mood. The relief on Mayweather's face says it all. The dance he does later in the video is celebration. :boxing: Too bad Mayweather would rather fight the B-Welterweight from the same gym over "chinny" Khan.

Now that the dust has settled (& towels thrown) for GGG-Brook, I'd like to remind folks how Brook fans were arguing Khan is cashing out by fighting Canelo instead of fighting at Welter. Two points: 1) Khan was loaded before fighting Canelo, Brook got that way AFTER fighting GGG. 2) More importantly, Brook has been a pro for 12 yrs with an exception to Carson Jones II and may be a learning bout early in his career it is almost exclusively been at Welterweight limit. Yet all we see is 1 name that stands out in Porter which is an excellent win but beyond that, well......unless you want to squeeze in Senchenko cuz he held the WBA WW Title but even Paulie stopped him. Khan at Light-Welter-Weight fought: Kotelnik which was straight from LW with no tune up bouts, Maidana against his teams wishes, Malignaggi who was coming off a career best win vs Juan Diaz in US debut at 23, Judah coming off winning IBF LWW title in unification, Garcia coming off winning his first title, ducked by Bradley. Even at Welter he fought Algieri n Collazo who would easily be second best names on Brook's resume. Of course there is Devon Alexander. Brook for years wanted Khan for a payday and when he realized he aint getting one he jumped on GGG fight. I believe both Khan n Brook took massive risks and massive props to both BUT if you REALLY want to make the argument who cashed out?

.........therefore, Brook ducked Vargas or any legit Welterweight threat to move up two weights and fight GGG in a win-win fight. Right? Or are there double standards? p.s. nice to see Kell finally be involved in a meaningful fight. I believe at times it will be competitive because Brook is massive as Welter and is a good boxer himself.

Is there an excuse for not willing to fight someone with a pulse outside of Amir Khan? The King of mandatories has been champion for over a year and half and his three fights stand at: Dan, Gavin and Bizier. 1) Dan is excusable cuz he is again a mandatory, first defense and he was coming off surviving that attack in Tenerife. 2) Gavin was his voluntary defense. So, of all the talent pool at WW available to a World Champion, Frankie Gavin was his voluntary defense. 3) Bizier, so apparently Brook was injured sparring for Chaves so he couldnt fight him in 2015, so the next best thing would be to post pone it instead they outright cancelled it. This is after getting Chaves to pull out of a final eliminator vs Bizier and offer him a direct voluntary shot at Kell's title, Chaves was royally shafted. The plan was to get the mandatory out of the way and beg Khan for that big payday they have been for last 6 yrs. So, while Bizier was a mandatory they could've went through with Chaves and it wouldn't look so horrendous as this. Edit: He won the belt against an elite fighter in Shawn Porter, but that was almost 2 yrs ago. Now does that mean he can continue to defend it against the Gavins of the World for years to come, does it still mean he is a true champion cuz the guy he beat was legit?

So, it won't be Sam Eggington considering a Warren fighter, Bradley.................Skeete beat him. I believe they'd get Paulie Malignaggi cuz he is a hit with UK fans and fought not that long ago on a Hearn card: Joshua vs Whyte, so I believe it may possibly could've been a set up for a future Brook fight and refresh the minds of the UK fans as to who was Malignaggi. On that note, I'm really excited about this Saturday's card from England as I believe the main event is under rated and over looked as it has the making of being a cracking fight, Nick Blackwell has a genuine chance vs Eubank Jr.

Since the whole Khan Canelo thing has been signed the butt hurt gone through the roof as if their messiah was the only way Khan could get a big fight and that its not funny anymore that Floyd passed (ducked) Khan for his sparring partner and they cant act as some sort of an authority "oh he has to earn it doe" "gotta fight a puncher doe".

I was curious how much the purses are because the same ppl crying Khan isn't fighting punchers now saying this is a cash grab. $ is obviously part of it, but not all of it. It is after all prize and not pride fighting (no pun intended). What a warrior! Same goes for Canelo who took this fight knowing guys like Mayweather and Pacquiao didn't want any.

Two different men from two vastly different backgrounds, yet the more things seem different the more they are the same. It is amusing to see that both Canelo and Khan have the mentality of walking right in to fire despite being cash cows in the sport. Canelo is the same guy who asked for Lara despite his team having reservations, I wasn't a fan initially until his career took a 180 in regards to opposition where his current run stands at: Trout, Angulo, Lara, Kirkland and Cotto. I won't include Mayweather cuz who doesn't want Floyd. He is ONLY 25 years old. Amazing! Khan, "the glass chinned bum" who was supposedly finished after Prescott went on to not only win a World title, but chose to leave the comforts of UK and take on some of the roughest and toughest in the game yet never earning the true respect of many his compatriots for reasons beyond boxing. May 7th will see another chapter in the story of Khan where he jumps up not one, but two weight classes to become Lineal MW champion of the World. He leaves behind an option of fighting for $10 Mil plus vs Brook also holding a "world" title (zzzzzz). Canelo dares to do what Floyd, Manny, Bradley and JMM did not. Khan dares to jump not one but two weights. and to conclude, Khan and Canelo: Two sides of the same coin! :boxing:

Crawford's last 3 opponents have been: Dierry Jean Thomas Dulorme Raymundo Beltran These guys aren't bums, very solid contenders who had a shot to win (including Jean), but they are nothing to brag about. None of these guys are former World Champions and more importantly none have ever beaten a name. This time he is fighting a "fringe" contender in Hank Lundy who is worse than all 4 and has defeats to Dulorme and Beltran. For someone being built as a superstar, what do you make of such underwhelming opposition? Thoughts?

The other Gold Medalist on the Joshua card fought a guy who failed at European level against Edis Tatli and boxed Campbell's ears off. The first 2 rounds was Campbell getting his jab out, doing alright, but 3rd round on this Mendy character started to come out strong landing good, solid shots. The disturbing part was how Mendy was countering Campbell, and cutting the distance as if he was the one with the amateur pedigree. Especially the countering part, did I mention the knockdown? The decision was split, I'd say Mendy did enough to win, now it would be one thing to get sparked by a journeyman, but to lose a 12 round decision to a guy who belongs at a level (below European), Campbell should be dealing with fairly easily and was meant to. I said "ears boxed off" even though the decision was close, because a guy who couldn't succeed at European level beating up an Olympic Gold Medalist for a decision imo warrants that description What are your thoughts? Is he cut out for the pros? Can he come back? Discuss.

In a brutal display of dominance we saw Enzo Maccrannelli knockout former World HW champ (among other things) RJJ in the 4th round in his backyard, which prompted me to make the inevitable comparison with another Welsh fighter in Joe Calzaghe who needed 12 rounds to get the job done. Was it the jet lag? or simply a case of levels? Anyways, would you prefer a 12 round boxing clinic or a brutal finish like that?
