i did know. the reason it was unsafe is cause fighters were draining their bodies down to make weight then fighting before they had time to rehydrate. but my point is if everyone fought at their natural weight there would be no reason to drain ur body. if they brought same day weigh-in bac fighters would not want to risk their health thus makin them fight at there natural weights. at least thats my opinion I like agree with you on everything you just said. Everyones always tring to get an advantage by being heavier than the other guy.

Mosley can't get a fight with Cotto,Pac,or Mayweather so why doesn't he just stay put and await the outcome. Everyone wants to fight PBF or Pac. But they're trying to fight eachother. SSM should focus on trying to secure a fight with the winner. The best way to do that is to try and unify with the winner of the Cotto vs Clottey fight. If he gets Clottey then that ought to be an interesting match but if not he can get a crack at revenge with Cotto.

He's a fight or 2 away from being "old". Win or lose against PBF he should still fight Pacman at some point. But thats almost about it if he wants a big payday because the youngsters coimng up will be looking for a gatekeeper and JMM is too much of a legend to be put on that level.

roach is trying his best to infuriate floyd into taking the match. Agreed. But he doesnt have to sell the fight by saying PBF is the easiest opponent because he knows damn well thats not the truth.

As a fan of PW I'd rather him not fight at 147. I think he has an oppurtunity to be the MAN at 154 for a while. I mean seriously who can you think of that would most definatly beat the guy at 154? And if the chance to take on KP or AA at middleweight comes up then he'll more physically ready to absorb those MW punches.

I'd have to say Joel Casamayor should be on this list.

I think Allan Green has a boat load of talent. He hasn't faced a TOP contender aside from Miranda but i think this is his time to make a statement now since there seems to be a quite a few matchups to be made at SMW.

Im not worried about that because the fight is going to be on another channel. But i think since a Golden boy fighter wont be on the card anymore they decided not to show it. Which is cool because like someone else in this thread said already they could use the $ for another fight. That means an extra weekend of boxing down the road somewhere on HBO. On 1 hand Wlad vs Haye is lot more exciting but the other fight is alot more significant to the division. But whatever i want to see Haye tested 1st anyway before he gets a title shot. It would suck for everybody to hype Wlad vs Haye and Haye gets knocked out early because he cant handle the big guys punches. So lets see him with a top 10 HW and then go from there.

What? Most of you are picking williams? But doesn't williams tend to stay in the pocket more than he should and brawl. I mean he's never brawled with an actual puncher, or someone who can deal back the same workrate. If paul just uses his reach advantage and circles pavlik, then yes i agree with alot of you in a clear UD. I agree with most of that. Im just not sure how PW would handle a KP punch to the body or even just a STIFF right cross. I want him to fill in his body more at 154 before he takes a stab at the bigger punchers like AA or KP. The Wright victory was good but I think Winky is more of a JMW than a MW. Maybe sometime around next summer or fall he'll be a little more ready for that type of physicality.

I thought Chad won the 1st fight decisively. Not a shut out but i thought he won by 2 or 3 points. But why not tangle again since the only other interesting fight to be made is with BHOP and everyone knows that probably not going to happen. Does anyone know when this fight might take place?

He's not an atg but id have to say hes most def a hofer. I say he isnt because theres not a whole lot a comp for him. If he beats margs mosley and lets say pacman would that make him an atg? Everyone who says he picks his fights would just say margs was too slow and he was supposed to beat him, mosley is too old, and then would say pacman was too small. Theres always criticism about what he does in the ring. But the man goes out does what hes supposed to do is win. Even though it isnt a ko everytime he does his job like when winky goes put on clinics. So why all the hate on floyd. Hes been a champ since 1998. Hes beaten at least 12 fighters who happen to be champions before or after they fought him. Now i agree with people when they say he has unfinished business in the 147 division(meaning he should have just cleaned house before he decided to retire)but would those wins plus adding cotto make the naysayers resp[ect him more or would they just say he didnt have any comp?

I still havent seen Bhop Vs Tito. Heard it was a good fight but i felt like Tito was too small to be challenging Bhop.

Its between PBF vs Gatti or SSM vs Margarito. Shane beat the brakes off Antonio and Gatti didnt stand a chance from the opening bell.

As much as i respect what Toney has done over his career i believe he should either retire or go to cruiserweight. getting in the ring with WK might just be too much for the old man.

TB has skills to compete at a high level. He's not seasoned for a Pacman fight yet. Pac by 8th or 9th rd stoppage.

I'd probably have to go with Mijares especially if he beats Vic or Paul. Mijares because he's had 3 fights going on his 4th and its another unification bout. Thats what you call a fighting champion. Paul for almost the same. Hes going on his 4th fight even though he lost his 1st defense but he came back in exciting fashion to take what was his. Then prepares to fight Pavlik but that falls through so he stays at the weight and blasts Kolle(not that hes an elite MW) and now hes dropping to 154 to take on Phillips. If he takes care of business with him and wins a belt(albeit an interim)at a 2nd division hes gotta get some serious consideration. Alot of the other fighters you guys named aren't as busy these 2 and dont have as many controversial wins either. Not that Pacman can't make a case but Diaz was a gimme and JMM could have gone either way(again). Bhop lost to Joe C first. Margs has a great case too, maybe just maybe Joe if he gets past Roy.

It's funny how everyone who doesnt say Pac is ducking Floyd seems to say,"Well Pac deserves 60/40". Why does he deserve 60/40? Its a mega fight between 2 superstars on the same level. When Ray fought Hagler, Ray was the draw so he got the bigger piece but in this situation they're equal in drawing power. Just get the fight done. No lame ass excuses about political aspirations or a busted eardrum that will be healed in what 4 months at the latest.

I don't understand how a shot fighter can help you prepare for a mega fight. I don't know about that decision Freddie. Theres so many other boxers to choose from and you choose a fighter who hasnt beat a top 10 fighter in the 3 divisions hes campaigned in since 2005. He couldnt even go 4 rounds with Hatton.

Williams kos Cintron between round 8-10. Martinez shouldnt fight Greene hes not ready for that type of fight. Martinez should fight Santos in a unification. And obviously the winner should fight PW.

This is why boxing has become what it has. We have a bunch of people who DON'T want to see a linear champion get crowned on June 20th but would rather see Wlad fight loudmouth David Haye who has NOTHING at heavyweight. ZERO. So sorry to break it to all those people that we'll finally have a Ring undisputed champion. All of you can stand by and watch Haye get beaten by someone not even in the top 10 now. In fact I wouldn't mind seeing Chris Arreola kick his ass. Make that fight. Thats exactly what i was thinking. I believe the WK vs DH is still going to happen...he's just going to have to wait now. I mean a back injury is serious in any profession you are in but how is it going to be that much better in 3 weeks than it is now? Cotto has my respect. The guy has decent pop, good boxing skills, and he just comes to work does his thing and leaves. Like a businessman. The only thing about the guy that i dislike is that he's not more vocal about who WANTS to fight as oppose to this,"I'll fight who ever my promoter puts in front of me" stuff. I think anyone who is a true champion needs to say who they want to fight when the question is asked.

Manny could definately win the fight but by KO....No way. Everyone seems to think Manny is so fast and powerful but that was just david diaz he destroyed. He(Diaz) isn't a great fighter. Diaz just happen to catch Morales after 2 spankings from Manny. Honestly this is Oscars fight to lose whether by decision or KO.
