If pacman will defeat ODLH or even a 7-5 rounds loss will make him the fighter of the year....

It's between Pac and Marg. Both put on excitin performances in winnin back to back title fights. Pac might get derailed in this when he gets KTFO in Dec, but that's still a huge fight and the loss shouldn't really count against him.

If Pacquiao somehow wins, he gets the nod. As of right now, Israel Vazquez, Antonio Margarito, Juan Manuel Marquez, and Bernard Hopkins all get a strong endorsement from me.

1-Antonio Margarito---Cintron and Cotto --- 2-Cristian Mijares ---3 defenses, added 2 more belts--- 3-Joe Calzaghe------beat B-Hop, and if he beats Roy--- 4-Manny Pacquiao---if he beats Oscar he wins--- Vasquez and Hopkins shouldn't be considered.

If Mijares beats Vic, he's got a hell of a case. MAking 115 matter is no easy task. If Calzaghe blows Jones out, he'll have a case as well because of the storyline of the year and public attention on his fights. The Hopkins win just REALLY improves in light of the Pavlik loss last weekend. Marg had a great case, but taking the last five months off could hurt. I think Margarito only wins by default. In other words by all the other candidates eliminating themselves with losses.

Though Wladimir Klitschko, Joe Calzaghe (if he beats Jones impressively) could be up there as well... Interesting how I picked fighters that aren't American. :rofl:

I'd probably have to go with Mijares especially if he beats Vic or Paul. Mijares because he's had 3 fights going on his 4th and its another unification bout. Thats what you call a fighting champion. Paul for almost the same. Hes going on his 4th fight even though he lost his 1st defense but he came back in exciting fashion to take what was his. Then prepares to fight Pavlik but that falls through so he stays at the weight and blasts Kolle(not that hes an elite MW) and now hes dropping to 154 to take on Phillips. If he takes care of business with him and wins a belt(albeit an interim)at a 2nd division hes gotta get some serious consideration. Alot of the other fighters you guys named aren't as busy these 2 and dont have as many controversial wins either. Not that Pacman can't make a case but Diaz was a gimme and JMM could have gone either way(again). Bhop lost to Joe C first. Margs has a great case too, maybe just maybe Joe if he gets past Roy.

True. B-hop gots waaay more experience than Pavlik. But good for Pavlik for his resume. At least he didn't get K.O. Cal? If...Only if he beats the hell out of RJJ or K.O. then maaaybe i'll do more research on the Welschman. B-hop gots one last fight left. Who's it gonna be? RJJ or Cal? i would prefer him to fight RJJ since their anticipated rematch should have been done a decade ago. but for the sake on who's better even if they are out of their primes, i do have a tagline for the match if it happens! If Pac wins it's him. If Calzaghe wins and Pac loses it's him. If both lose it's Margarito.

See...Calzaghe should be getting props BECAUSE he beat Hopkins. Hopkins is a force to be reckoned with. With the exception of the Winky Wright Vs. Hopkins. I am not a Calzaghe fan at all. if cal beats jones convincingly then for me calzaghe gets the nod, although i woulnt rank that performance higher than what B-hop just did.
