Golovkin is too big for Floyd and knowing this, Floyd will never fight him. You can't really blame him here. If he's a "coward" for refusing to fight a potentially great champion well above his natural weight, than so is Pacquiao and everyone else too small for GGG. He cuts off the ring too well, and is too accurate and powerful for someone Floyd's size. Just jabbing the arms and body of Floyd and firing right hands would be enough to neutralize him, and these are things Golovkin excels at.
Brandon is a ****ing idiot, but that's the kind of psychotic drive a warrior like him has to have to do what he does in the ring. Who else carries that same conviction to kill his opponent even after missing wildly and eating devastating shots? He doesn't slow down, and he never stops believing in his ability. I don't doubt for a second he thought he won, and I'm sure he fully believes he will score a knockout in the third match. I can't wait to see it.
I think it is :boxing:

I don't know, I'm sure someone can dispute that. Aaron Pryor had several amazing first rounds. Hearns/Hagler is an obvious pick as well. Even Kirkland/Angulo had a pretty awesome round 1.
Man, you guys are jerks. You're not going to convince someone they're wrong by insulting them continuously. Human beings are creatures of pride, and as soon as you hurt their ego, they will block out reasoning and go into defensive mode. Clearly, the thread starter's lack of a penis is preventing him from being able to properly score rounds. This is no excuse to make fun of his TURRRRIBLE scorecards. For shame my fellow NSB posters, for shame..:nono:
But when Pavlik hit him flush in the face with a right hand, B-Hop smiled and looked at the crowd. Maybe it was mind games but in the late rounds B-Hop started to take chances, like he lost respect for Pavlik's power.
Bernard only ate like 2 clean right hands to the face in the entire fight, and his cheek was bruised and swollen after.
Yea but that's not skilled, that's just a tough rugged fighter which I already admitted he is.
When you miss a right hand and end up in a clinch with the top of someone's head slamming into your eye, you're in against someone who is more than just rugged. For instance, when Froch got frustrated against Dirrell, he started committing blatant fouls. Bika is more subtle at this. Even the way he changes the arc of his punch to hook behind the guard and clip the back of the ear (and again, always on the opposite side of the ref). Those aren't the tools of a very unskilled fighter. Then you add the jab and the body hooks, and you see why he is where he is. I'm not saying that he is one of the top 3 at super middleweight, I'm just saying "very unskilled" is probably taking it a little far.
Bika is very unskilled, I wasn't impressed with him in the least. He's a tough guy, who has some pop but isn't the huge puncher everyone thinks he is.
Ward beats him again.
"Very unskilled"? Where do you get this?
He is, were you impressed with him? He's a clubbing puncher who rarely thrwos the jab (even though you can tell that they have been working on that) .
He's a tough guy, hard puncher but he isn't a skilled boxer. He won't beat Ward.
I've been impressed with him for some time. Everyone who fights him ends up pissing blood. I don't think it's that he hits hard, he wears you down, works on the inside, lands headbutts, good jab, changes the arc of his punches. I've yet to see anyone look good against Bika. He's a crafty fighter, and I don't think Ward enjoyed fighting him one bit.
That said, I agree that he won't beat Ward, but who would you pick to beat Ward?
I could have sworn he hit him on the legs. I was kinda drunk at the time.
No you're right, more than a couple punches strayed below the belt line. That's part of what makes Bika so tough to fight. The way he leads with his head and works you on the opposite side of the ref.
The first fight was a good close contest, I honestly thought the only fair score for that fight was a draw, anywhere outside of America it probably would have been a draw.
The Scorpion boxed brilliantly last night, and in my mind the next logical fight at SMW is Ward-Bika 2, the only question is will Ward pull out of a fight again citing 'injury'? I notice he wasn't injured when he had Chad Dawson was willing to come down to 168 and sacrifice his health, but he was injured when Lucien Bute wanted to unify the division - not making any accusations and this isn't a thread to hate on anyone.
Anyway, two good fighters, the rematch should happen sometime this year. I'd like to see Saint George Groves step up and fight the winner in 2014
Bika made a fan out of me when he fought Calzaghe. Dude is a beast; I see him giving anybody from 168-175 problems. I'd definitely be into the rematch
Khan did not listen to Roach at all for his fight with Garcia(he totally underestimated Garcia)even when hurt Roach said go out there and hold..What did Khan do??Khan has a hard head, don't like to listen..I think everything Roach said is true..At the end of the day yes a trainer is there to give instructions but if the fighter won't listen, that is not the trainers fault...
I'd green K this if I could, but here's some grey instead.
Ward already beat this guy up. Why do we want to see a rematch? Cause he beat some other euro journeyman. Bika v Froch/Kessler and winner gets rematch at best in class. After all he beat all three
I agree that Bika v Froch/Kessler is a more interesting matchup, but if he wants Ward, he earned his spot.
I do. He doesnt need one against Alvarado, he KO him again with or without one.
It's not like the first fight was one-sided. He was taking a lot of punishment, and could use an edge. You also have to understand that improvements aren't made over the time-span of a single training camp. Again, if he is truly in the mix for the elite fighters, he needs to get the ball rolling now.
Good for Irish seanie...sux for the Broadway boxing events losing him- he brought spirited, Irish crowd from long isle whenever he fights
A hefty part of the crowd for Nonito-Rigondeaux was specifically there for Seanie.. Crazy when you think of the difference in skill level.
BUT Chavez didnt start improving until the Rubio fight. No one expected him to beat the crap out of Andy Lee. No one expected that. GGG couldnt even drop Rosado. He was getting outboxed allot. And STOP highlighting portions u WANT to respond to. Quick picking and choosing. Respond to the whole thing.
I don't think you're using that word correctly... Which rounds did you end up scoring for Rosado in that fight?
