Both beat him clearly and convincingly.
Mayweather took less punishment against Cotto but Trout dished out more to Cotto.
I had Mayweather-Cotto 10-2 and Trout-Cotto 9-3.
I had both fights 116-112. Both Trout and Floyd took over in the later rounds. Cotto took middle rounds. Cotto seemed gassed in both 10-12th rounds of both fights. Pretty equal to me. Trout probably got hit cleaner more often, but it didnt make the fight that much closer, and I'm a Cotto fan.
Mayweather.....easily. I honestly believe people don't understand what they are watching. Cotto seemed to get too much credit, from fans (the judges had it right), for agression in the Mayweather fight and not doing much. Cotto landed some jabs and body shots, but he hit Trout way more often with clean and clear power shots.
Cotto won 4 against Trout, 3 against Floyd.
lol Definitely Austin Trout. Trout barely got hit.
I think I had the fight like 118-110 for Trout. Cotto actually won the early rounds against Floyd.
Trout barely got hit? We watched different fights then bro.

Are you serious? Not even the picking picking Trout think that Cotto won the early rounds against Floyd
i think Trout, Cotto seem to have more life in the Mayweather fight at the ending rounds but against Trout he seem defeated 4-3 rounds before
well I think that also has to do with expectations. Floyd was #1 p4p and seen as nearly unbeatable. Cotto wasnt suppose to have a chance. Against Trout he was the favorite and even though alot of people liked Trout, it still goes down as an upset.
With Floyd, even if your trailing, you still hold your head high as long as your still in it. If youre losing to Trout after that then you feel dissapointed and makes you want to give up because you felt like you were just on top of the game with a close loss to the best but now youre losing again when you never expected it
Winning 3 rounds 4 at best means Floyd went life and death with Cotto?
Or was it the bloody nose.
Cotto lost the fight in the championship rounds when he tired (he's not a 12 round fighter by any means). Before that, it was a "life and death" struggle through the first eight rounds with Mayweather getting his nose crushed and getting outworked on the ropes.
Obviously Trout. Floyd went on record and said that Cotto was his toughest fight ever. Trouts face was clean after the Cotto fight, unlike Floyd's.

I had it 116-112/115-113 Mayweather and 117-111/116-112 respectively. I thought Trout did a better job boxing Cotto while Mayweather got caught on the ropes a lot and allowed Cotto to outwork him in several rounds. I also thought Cotto tired and pretty gave up the last four rounds in both fights.
