How can you go wrong, when you have freddie roach as your trainer, alex ariza as your conditioning coach and PACQUIAO as your main sparring partner...
Simple. By being a glass-jawed pussy.
His eyes are sunken like he's some kind of zombie. And then he's a goddamn tower (what was he, 6'1"? 6'2"?) Add onto that that he's the hardest P4P puncher ever and you have sheer, pants-shitting terror whenever you step into the ring.
Scariest fight is antonio margarito when he has his mean lookin face and not smiling or anyythin
Margarito's not so much scary as he is straight hideous. That is one rat-looking dude with a patchy mullet.
The same overrated Marquez that gave Pacquiao the two hardest fights of his career and stopped Joel Casamayor for the first time? Who's never been KO'd? Will get knocked out by the same chump who recently got KTFO'd in the first round? That guy? Marquez is a legend, Khan will fold.
Amir Khan is not as fast as Mayweather and certainly not Pacquiao. And JMM has more than enough pop to put his glass-jawed ass down on the canvas, especially because I see him coming in a few pounds below the limit. Yes, Roach has seen Marquez twice before, but he's riding a completely different horse here and Marquez beat Pac-Man twice, I don't give a shit what the judges say. Amir is going to start strong, but then Marquez is going to close on him and give him a whooping. He's just too skilled and he has that lion in his heart that Khan so obviously doesn't.
If Pacquiao gets cut off a headbutt, I think he's going to go back to his instinct: kill. He's going to bombard Clottey, but I don't know if he can crack that granite chin. That is, if the ref doesn't jump on him.
Look, I think Margo is as awful as anyone after the Shane incident. But after the Cotto fight, he takes his gloves off immediately. Would you do that if you had cement in your gloves? Probably not. Not only that, someone grabs his hand and lifts it. There is no way they wouldn't have felt that plaster in his wraps. Bottomline is, he didn't cheat against Cotto. Cotto just got the shit kicked out of him. Of course there wasn't the same accumulation against Mosley - Mosley was beating the sense out of Margarito all night. It was a one-sided beatdown. Cotto was on the run all night and getting beat to a pulp. That's why his face was all ****ed up, not because of any plaster.
That being said, he still took a beating and it somewhat lessens the value of the win for Pacquiao. I say Manny is holding onto the top spot by the skin of his teeth - if he doesn't either KO Clottey or win a one-sided UD and Floyd outpoints Shane, then he gets the P4P title.
At 130, Floyd beats Pacquiao soundly. No KO, but Pacquiao was a face first brawler at 130. Look at how he performed against Marquez. When Marquez backed up and boxed him instead of trying to engage, he beat Pacquiao pretty handily. And Floyd is clearly the slicker counterpuncher between the two. He would hammer Pac-Man, and at that weight, Floyd was a pretty good puncher. Pacquiao would get hurt, maybe even dropped once or twice on the way to a wide UD.
But watch the end of the fight. Like 10 people raise his hand in the air. Think about it, wouldn't they have felt it? The ref, at the very least, could feel such a significant difference. And he took the gloves off. It just doesn't seem like something a cheater would do. He shouldn't get the benefit of the doubt, obviously, but from what I've seen, it doesn't look like he was cheating for that fight.
I don't think that Mayweather could handle the crushing power of Hearns. Hearns has got such a wide array of weapons that Mayweather can't possibly roll away from all of them. He'll get caught and he'll go down sometime in the mid rounds. Hearns KO 8.
I love Marquez because he doesn't have the natural gifts of a Shane Mosley, Roy Jones, Pernell Whitaker or even Floyd Mayweather. He sweat and bled for every ounce of boxing skill and you can see it in the ring. He's got a heart like a lion and awesome technical skill.
IF he beats Marquez, he'll have my respect. If he can handle JMM, he'll destroy Paulie. Paulie is an entertaining guy, even if he does swing and miss on occasion - hair extensions, I'm looking at you - but he punches like a nine year old girl with sickle cell.
is their another fight happening under the ring that we cant see because the crowd is going crazy.
Hahaha I was wondering the same thing. They're going off like Barrera-Morales and the two guys just laid on each other for the last six rounds. That was awful...can't wait to see Humberto Soto (who's not great, but better than these turds) smash the winner. Hopefully, he'll fight his cousin.
