--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am willing to bet that all these posters on Khan's nuts are all Pakistanis or British Pakistanis so even if Khan was to go up in weight to fight Wladimir or Hopkins they'll all tell us that he has the style to beat those guys up.
How come his style of fast hands could NOT beat Danny Garcia or Presscott (both garbage fighters)? If his hands speed is the code to beat Floyd why couldn't he beat slower guys like Garcia and Prescott. Why did he struggle against a guy I don't even recall?
Khan is a joke like all of his fans. Thurman KO's him easily and so does Alexander so he goes to fight Josesito.
Im a British Pakistani and i dont really like Khan. I find anything out of his mouth provides fuel to the fire while he burns himself down - which can be entertaining.
I think the only reason i watch his fights is due to the fact that i am always rooting for the underdog - the upset - and his face/excuses after!
Really? I didn't think so. In fact, he seemed really down to earth, and the clothes he was wearing just don't match up to his personality. He just seems proud of his son that's all. Sounded to me like a guy you could have a drink with at a bar or something and talk boxing
A cringeworthy interview is one where you have people shouting TBE TBE at the end or whatever, you know the drill
This.
The interview actually shows more of a realistic and honest version of someone in Broners camp. Hell I don't think he'd even be brushing his hair if it wasn't for the arrogance of his son. He seemed down to earth and respectful, even whilst looking like that - which is ofcourse a matter of taste
Hey Shawn - first time i saw you fight against Alexander - Impressive! Keep up the training and good work.
By the way - who can we expect next? Brook/Broner would be :boxing:
Lol at all you low standard guys, she like a high 7 looks wise.
+1.
Add her personality into it and he becomes an instant 10. How many supermodels remain virgins until marriage?
they are the blueprint of 100% real women
For real? LOL
natural beauty in its original form is the greatest attraction. Fake t!ts and blown up lips like those are not beauty!!
I passionately hate Angel for opening his mouth and downgrading Danny with his BS pre-fight night build up n all...He takes away the potential fanbase Danny can have when he spews his ****. I sometimes think Danny is embarrassed with the **** his pops comes out with.
Though i think he is one of the best corner men out there at the moment - they both work well together - father knows what to say/do according to the fight and danny actually LISTENS (Hint Hint@Khan).

close ass fight, and i'd wager that if not for the freak swelling, matthysse would have taken it, when that swelling came up for about 3 rounds he couldn't see and really didn't throw anything, just tried to get himself closer and closer to get past the wide hook of garcia(that he couldn't see anymore), but whenever he got to where he felt safe he got held
also garcia should never have been allowed so many clinches and lowblows
it took a vicious ko like lowblow to finally get a point deduction, and it should have never gotten to that with how many he was throwing
Agree with this. However, that is all a part of boxing/bad decisions/dirty fighting etc.
I felt bad for Matthysse, even though i believed Garcia did enough to win. The swelling made it difficult to reflect his true presence in the ring.
The fight was turning into a proper slugfest prior to Matthysse's eye..
Garcia won though (dirty fighting/decision whatever the reason). End of!
Khan is what you call in his own language - A LANN. Loves following what he hears about himself - fast hands, got caught with a lucky shot, me and manny top etc. (Freddie Roach days). He has no real character or personality of his own.
I'd pay to see him lose in the UK. TMT all the way!!
Out shined floyd? Go to sleep boy..
Danny should have been deducted a few points for the constant lowblowing and holding..
That knockdown was a joke so instead of a 10-9 lucas score ot became 10-8 danny;- a 3 point switch ..
And lets not forget his moronic racist vile father..
Time to take khans knob out of your mouth. I'm not a Garcia fan but you are clearly bitter over Garcia's KO of Khan - i rooted for Khan up until then and his excuses. Massive potential - no character.
I hate Garcia - his p00f fade and autistic dad, but he clearly can box as shown on Saturday night. Yes - lowblowing and clinching...didn't go down though right? Made it through 12 didn't he?
He was crisp with that lefth hook early on. If Matthysse's eye hadn't swelled, we may have had a different fight, but it did.
I still love Matthysse though - badman. The effort and power he puts into that right...
He was much better than Broner against MM for sure. That was 'years' ago though and it was a lot closer fight than people made out.
LOL@Rees/Brook. Hahahahahahahahahaha
I think Khan/Maidana @ 147 would be a totally different story :boxing:
I agree that Broner would've been DQ'd if he had headbutt Maidana. There's a big double standard when it comes to fighters like Broner, Money, Ward etc.
Maidana got away with murder that fight, he was headbutting and lowing blowing the entire fight.
I also agree that Maidana pretty much only had 2 big rounds where he got the first knock down and the second flash knockdown. Every other round he "won" was competative and could've been given to Broner.
Also Arizas fighter have been exposed as being cheaters. Maidana cheating is a real possiblity. He already got exposed for taking a pill in the 11th. (see my signature) PED's aren't out of the question
There were a good amount of close rounds that I gave to the champ. People are acting like the fight wasn't close and that it was some horrible beating in Maidana's favor. The truth is it was VERY close and it could've gone either way. I gave it to Broner because the champ should get the benefit IMO. I'm not mad at the people that scored it for Maidana.
The after the bell shot after the 11th round was deserved IMO. It was payback for the headbutt.
Seriously? MM got away with murder? Since the first KD Broners elbow was in his face despite countless warnings. Too bad the judges didn't agree with you and got it spot on. AB is lucky if he had a more stern ref he would've been penalised or even DQ'd before MM even resorted to responding in similar 'dirty tactics'.
Broner won 3/4 rounds MAX - you can't ignore the constant elbow in the face and pushing...sorry anyone can see that.
I like Broner, but the excuses don't do him any favors. Take it on the chin. You lost against a better, more aggressive and stronger fighter. If he is a true warrior he will bounce back and learn from his mistakes, not look for excuses or reasons, justifying ways out etc.
BT: If that fight did happen, when it comes to watching film on Floyd, how far back would you go? Would you just watch footage on his current fights or would you go back earlier in his career to look for something you can exploit?
VH: I don't think I would look at any tapes. I think that I would prepare myself for the moment that what's happening instead of has happened. I don't think that I would look at any tapes; I don't think I would encourage the kid to look at any tapes because I think in order to, in this situation, the more he knows about himself will help him more than as opposed to knowing about Floyd. It's almost like going to, you know, if you got sentenced to death and you're going to be executed by lethal injection. Well, the more you learn about it, the more scared you might be. The less you know about it, whatever is unknown, since you don't know, then you tend to prepare yourself from within as opposed to without.
Virgil reminds me of the evolution theory; All makes sense and sounds good...in theory, but you just can't see it happening (in Khans case anyway).
Jim Watt is possibly the biggest band wagon rider of all mo-fracking time. As soon as one of the fighters does anything vaguely impressive or unexpected good ol' Jimmy pronounces him as the coming of Muhammad Robinson Marciano the third and proceeds to dry hump the guy harder than a Chihuahua on speed. The man is just plain awful at commentating.
:rofl::rofl::rofl:
I'd never pay for a Khan fight. Ever.
Its a shame the damage to his chin has contributed to non-stop activity in his larynx.
If this fight happens, stage it in Birmingham - Khan would end up going back to Bolton naked
^Things like that actually detract attention from his natural skillset and talent.
He needs to develop his own style rather than taking a bit of lip from Ali, a shoulder roll and swag from Floyd etc.
Ali was ALI. Floyd is FLOYD. You do no favors to yourself by mimics where others have found success.
He's a way better talker than Mayweather.
I don't know about that...
I don't 'hate' broner, but the way he mimicks his routines like FMJ - c'mon man...It makes him look like a replica outta China. Look at FMJ working the heavy bag like that in the past (when he pounced on the j3w ellie for example), thats how FMJ 'talks'!
I think Broner is an exciting fighter - nowhere near the class/maturity of FMJ though - a long way to go!
I know - he younger doe(!)
I need to win a title first at 105 lbs, then I will use my status as a champion at 105 lbs to pressure other champions in other weight classes Rigo doesn't have enough reach to make his superb boxing skills useful against me. I am not going to even waste time to put on extra weight, once I win the first major title I will immediately start KOing undefeated champions from every weight class, Rigondeaux is the most decorated hence the most targeted, since he is more likely to accept my challenge

Give him 10/10 for confidence and self belief..
He wasn't being out boxed. Danny was holding his own and trying to solve Matthysse until Matthysses face broke, and then it was on. You see, fights are 12 rounds, not 6.
Danny won the fight. Proved everyone wrong, BUT the above is not true.
Lucas was ahead on a lot of scorecards till the 6th...
Who cares?! It was a great fight and its over.
Most of Khan's fan in 'Europe' are not Muslims - or at that, his main following is definitely not from the diaspora of the Indian sub-continent. The Indian sub-continent is host to Indians and Sri Lankans, who are mainly Hindu, Sikh and Buddhist - a lot of these people oppose Khan mainly down to a historical context.
Khan has a strong following from the Pakistani-British community. He also has a strong following from all stripes of the boxing community in the UK as he's able to fill out arenas and do pretty decent numbers - not all of these people are Muslim.
Interestingly, Khan has a decent following in the States and there's a perception he's liked more in the States. It comes at a time where ties between Pakistani-Muslim communities in the UK are at odds with the other groups they live amongst.
Anyway, Khan would be a good proposition for Mayweather but he doesn't deserve the fight. And his major downfall, that punch resistance.
This. I don't know where Americans get the impression most of Khan's fans are A-rabs?
Even the British Muslims aren't united in their support for Khan. Most of them believe he has more to prove and this is his chance.
Make or break though. They'd turn on him quicker than fans of Froch on his way back to Nottingham from Manchester on Nov 23rd 2013...
Bunch of close fights being listed in this thread. No. None of them were "robberies."
I think the term "robbery" is a matter of perception and personal opinion on very close fights. Hence - 3 judges to eliminate any concept of robbery (even though some decisions slip through the net).
What would you class as a 'robbery'? And would you say it was perceived as a 'close fight' by the majority?
I think Bradley/Pac is a good example...
martinez is few years ago had the ability to cause ggg big problems with his lateral movement, speed and punch power and imo would have beaten him
however martinez has aged, worn out with injuries etc
i feel ggg would beat him now esp after martinez last fight, he didnt look great at all
i think ggg should stay at 160 for 3 more fights
id like him to fight murray, peter quillin and then maybe alvarez if canelo moves up i think that would be a awesome fight
This.
Would still be a 50/50 right now, as the only thing that seems to trouble GGG is speed. If Martinez can bring that then :boxing:
Its a 'cash-for-crash' insurance scam...too bad he can still talk!
On a serious note - is this going to end up being the reason he doesn't fight in December?
I hope the car is alright.
I've never been a fan since the beginning - but I've grown to Garcia and appreciate his skills. He is one of the most humble and down to earth boxers out there, especially whilst in the midst of his idiotic racist father - calling Pakistanis' "Pakistinians"?! I love drama in boxing, but there's a plain line between acceptable/unacceptable.
Props to Danny for respecting and not letting such a level of stupidity from affecting his boxing.
Khan is afraid that Alexander can beat his ass and then he will be just another "nobody", he understands that his glass jaw allready exposed him and he is done as a fighter, so if he sees at least 1% that Mayweather can pick him ( and knock him out brutal) for a huge last payday ion his career he will take a shot.
He is done now, he is nothing and his name is "nobody". It is sad to agree but Garcias father was right, there is no **** in ther world that can fight. Amen.
I am not a Khan fan by any means...but Angels' father couldn't have been more uneducated and racist repeating one single word. The stupid fcuk doesn't even know there is no such thing as a 'Pakistinian' - nuff said.
Khan could go **** himself for all i care - though no need to re-iterate racism and racist remarks as I have seen so much on this board.
Fairly new here, and although every tree has its share of bad apples, i'm amazed at the amount of racism that is allowed on this board.
I hope it is shadowed by the very reason i joined boxingscene.com - passion and excitement for the true sport of pure boxing.
