The fight was craaazy. And I'll say it again, it looked just like Margarito-Cotto. The only difference? It's what happened when the pressure fighter didn't have cement in his gloves. Eventually I think the shots that Cotto landed and kept landing would have broken Antonio's will abit. If not, he would still keep coming but getting tagged moreso and doing less damage without the cement to truely do severe damage. In the end Cotto probably would have won a close UD.
i was tellin my girl the same shit when we were watching it. i thought it was an exact copy but escalante showed heart... ibet with every punch he landed he said to himself " THOSE WERE MY EGGS!"
nice pic man, you got lucky
That's cool. Good of you to share.
Thanks, not a problem, everytime I was in philly i wished to meet him and this time i did.
wow the obsession with Floyd is staggering at times
its frustrating trying to read thru post and actually get good debate going, when "F&CKERs" cant even stay on topic!!!!!This is about a promotional companies flaws not floyd or pac or any fighter!! PROMOTERS!!!! F&ck at least attempt to stay on point! you guys seem so one dimensional!
I don't think Foreman's as feather fisted as many think, and who knows what Cotto's chin is left.
Although, I think Cotto will have the mentality that Foreman won't be able to hurt him, and that can help him get inside and stop Foreman.
To be honest, I know that a lot of people don't care about this fight and I completely understand that, but styles wise I think it's actually a very intriguing fight.
I understand the lack of interest in it too but i been following him(cotto) so long that i keep interested in what happens next. I would like to see him pick up the third weight division title.
The old, patient, stalking, cool calm and collected cotto shows up with some new moves then its over already. now the cotto of late; back peddling, no body work, NO confidence then it'll be tough. i got cotto by wide ud behind the jab, and solid body work.
the fighter should protect himself at all time..
C'man man !!!! he was falling down!!!! his hands were on the canvas trying to steady himself after slipping, ur reaching hard bro.
Just making sure, I know I have decent eye vision but I questioned it last night when it was ruled a slip. The ref is a professional, he must know a lot more about boxing then me.
b4 this "KD" he was losing the fight, after this "KD" he was losing the fight.... when it was finally said and done guess what he lost the fight. DONE!
I don't see what Cotto can learn from Manny or add to his arsenal from what Manny teaches.
Manny is a teacher of an upright, plant the back foot, use a stiff jab style that works for guys like Taylor Wlad and of course Hearns
Cotto is a front foot, torque with his his left (strong) side for leverage and using a jab for set up type of fighter
I have turned into quite the Cotto fan and I hope he can indeed bounce back but I dont see what Manny brings
I agree with most of what ur saying except the manny aint good for him arguement. I think he is just the typwe of trainer that he needs, manny is a no nonsense kind of guy and that alone could be a major difference in the mental aspect of his game.. if he feels that he has someone setting up a solid gameplan , and not just folding to everything he says that some of the initial confidence cotto once had may show up.
it'll be interesting to see wat manny can do, cuz like u said he's best when working with a rangy fighter like hearns and taylor, both of which were pretty tall. but we'll see i guess.
If this actually goes down im super excited!!!! who u guys think takes it tho'? I see it a close match up but im favoring wlad. that jab is long and strong, and haye eats alot of jabs sometimes.
I met Floyd Mayweather Jr., I was angry for the fact he was throwing money out in a crowd and I grabbed like 200 bucks and it turned out to be fake money.
Really? thats too f-ing funny. where was this?
Tito trinidad- in PR
miguel cotto- in PR
Joe Frazier- in philly
arturo gatti- while he lived in jersey city
kermit cintron-he doesnt live far from me at all.(not big time tho)
Bernard Hopkins- lived in delaware where my aunt lives in the same community, really cool dude!
and Rocky Balboa...lol well at least the guy who played him!
he gave the thumbs down to dibella who was standing next to litzau.... he was letting dibella know how he felt bout his fighter (celestino)....... litzau was tlkn to emanuel, emanuel had said during the fight that jason had told him in the elevator "Mr. steward this is my night" if u listen u could hear that he said "i told you I would win"
all the while merchant gave the thumbs down to lou!!!!
Yeah, I saw that while everyone was talking over here. Seemed like an *******.
Litzau just wanted a fist pound from the HBO crew and Larry just shook his head and gave him the thumbs down.
I usually like Larry, but many times his idea of a good fight requires blood to be splattered.
he wasnt giving the thumbs down to jason, he was doing it to cab's promoter lou dibella who came up right beside jason as he was talking to emanuel..... he was showing his displeasure about celestinos performance. i thought it was great!
wow dude thank u so much.... my stream went out at the beginng of the second round and didnt come back on.... been looking everywhere for a clip... THANKS!!
No he ain't he's a average fighter that would be lucky to get the hall of fame spic
WOW........ ur the type to only wish u could say it out in public but never had the balls to! ur a waste of nut ur mom should have swallowed u!
Saw the same too, but c'mon are u really that surprised anymore when these fighters are fighting so close to home?
its almost like they should know going in that they at least will win one of the cards before the first bell even rings.
