One thing that has been sticking out in my head all day was...
Maybe you didn't know he had slipped because you were so focused, but... did you not find it strange that you were swinging your fist at waist level?
he's lying. thats all he could think of saying after the fight. his next excuse became "what was i supposed to do? wait til he gets back up?"
which one is it arthur?
the fighter should protect himself at all time..
C'man man !!!! he was falling down!!!! his hands were on the canvas trying to steady himself after slipping, ur reaching hard bro.

regardless of intention it was a foul and the proper thing to do was a DQ. I do think he knew Dirrell was down, just watch a clip a couple of times, and as you said he swings at below waist level and clips Dirrell on the chin. In his post fight he really admits it saying the ref didnt jump in so he took advantage of his opportunity to go for a KO punch. Someone needs to educate Mr. Abraham to the rules of boxing.
just got chance to watch it
i believe him
dirrell was doin lot of dippin n rollin with punches
like he said with his eye in its condition and him thinkin dirrell was simply tryin to dip from other punches
in the slow mo replay it looks like he notices hes down and is lookin at him
but watch it in real time
its pretty clear he didnt notice his legs were down
still deserved DQ tho
just cuz i dont think dirrell could have or should have to continue
The only thing that can defend AA is that he missed two punches and was looking outside the ring before it. I don't know if he is telling the truth, but all that happened within a second and sometimes when you look fast from one way to the other, you don't see movement such as slipping because you were focussed elsewhere.
AA was DQ and rightly so, The thing is why swing at a fighter that looked to be down to everyone including you (AA), No way did he not see that Dirrell was down according to all the reports on the fight.
If AA had land a punch that caused Dirrell to go down would he still hit him while he was down? it seems AA took advantage of the slip by landing intentional and thats a behaviour i cannot support sorry.
He swung down. Hit him center on the side of his head. I hope it was just a one time bad call on his part, and he shouldn't be banned from the super six or something to drastic like that, but he should of been DQ'd for the fight, which he was.
Yeah, I mean, I feel like the correct punishment was given. This is more to the people defending his stupid explanation of not recognizing that he was down.
