now that cotto will have emanuel steward as his trainer the best trainer after angelo dundee most likely cotto will have for the first time a gameplan since the jeanings fight when cotto fired his uncle and chose an amatuer trainer.do you guys think that cotto will win this fight and how by KO or decision?
well ya (but didnt want to say it :P) but the both fight outta brooklyn and both worked with the same trainers i believe
oh :thinkerg: so I guess there is a famous jewish boxgym in brooklyn?

The old, patient, stalking, cool calm and collected cotto shows up with some new moves then its over already. now the cotto of late; back peddling, no body work, NO confidence then it'll be tough. i got cotto by wide ud behind the jab, and solid body work.
Cotto will win this easily, Foreman is just another unbeaten fighter similar to Salita and has fought nobody

cotto will improve and win imo but i dont think it will be easy. The pressure is on. If cotto comes back strong and wins i hope he defends the 154 title vs pwill/cintron winner. Hopefully its pwill so he can whoop that ass! too bad other cotto fans here gave up on him. War cotto!
warr cottooo!!!!!!
Cotto's fans did not give up on him, the only thing discussed here lately is Pac and May. It gets tiring after a while. Now that he is back with a new trainer, hopefully he can get back into the competition.
Miguel will beat the crap out of Foreman and will forget about the retirement bullshit. For the first time in his career he'll have himself a true legit trainer.

i never gave up on him he still my fave fighter this guy fights everyone no excuses gotta love that
people dont liek cotto cuz he dont smile WTF is this a beuty contest or wtf this is boxing if your checking out teir smiles than you a faget.stupid media are the ones that always talk about the smle bullshit
I never gave up on cotto and never will. Cause that dude gave his all in every fight. I will be at the foreman fight I can't wait went to the clottey fight one of the best sports experiences in my life. Miguel will win because I feel he still thinks he has something to prove hence the new trainer. To me he has nothing to prove. But if he wants to focus and take on 154 limit well wake up big guns cause miguel is looking for a fight and he just might choose u. Yuri ur first. War Miguel Cotto.
it was one of the best experiences for me too. aint nothing like a boxing event at msg in june!!! :boxing:

Honestly we don't know anything about Foreman, how good is he? He looked great against Santos but it can be argued that Santos was rusty, shot, etc...
Plus Cotto is moving up and we don't really know how much is left of cotto. I want to say Cotto because hes pretty fukin good, but I don't know anything about Foreman so it might end up being a Darchinyan-Donaire moment.
those are good questions, the santos fight was the first time i saw a foreman fight. santos wasnt in good shape from what i saw. i think cotto has something left but obviously he aint what he was. i give him credit for getting a more experienced trainer even if it's too late.

Boxers wear and tear, they don't magically get better over time. Cotto needs to be very evasive and avoid anymore punishment. Which is why I think it may have been a good idea to hire Steward. I mean look at Wlad, he rarely ever gets hit now. But I also think Cotto had the rougher career because Wlad was basically KO'd early in his fights. Not taking punishment for almost all 12 rounds in wars like Cotto has.
Mind you I know the division Cotto fights in is much tougher then that of the heavyweights, thats why he went through wars with pretty solid competition.
i agree 100%. i think he has at least 2 fights left in him, well see what happens.
