Teddy Atlas is a dick. Not every Tyson W came without resistance. He didn't walk through everyone, just most of em, and, that's a ****ing stupid way to judge who won.
Other dude is stone cold KTFO BUT since he didn't actually present a threat to Tyson the entire fight it's not a real fight....that's some real ****ty outlook from a real ****ty dude.
I have to agree. Atlas is looked upon with doe eyed wonder by some boxing heads, but his opinions can be as flawed as anyone else's. Just because he is Teddy Atlas does not make him right.
Mike Tyson has been through so much in his life, he is remarkably sane for someone who has walked his path. Amazing fighter too, one of the atg heavyweights
I had a whopping $5 on Fury by ko and bet 365 did not pay.
Basically, I guess.i got 11/1 on this because I clicked on a 'special' which was specifically that he wins by ko which they said this was not.
Bastard bookies
i saw a white guy fighting a black guy... but that doesnt mean that i am racist. just keeping it 100.
100% agree with this.
Not being racist doesn't mean not acknowledging that two people are ethnically different, that's just seeing a fact.
Racism is discriminating against one or the other because of different ethnicity / skin colour etc.
Hindsight is 20/20. It is also a bit premature to ask whether wilder made a mistake. The DAZN deal sounds great because of the way it reads in the media. The average of $33 mil a fight is big money, no question. we need to make sure it isn't a GGG type deal where a portion of the money is paid in stock options.
Had Wilder won this fight, he'd be in position to fight AJ. That fight might generate more than $33 mil. Then the deal suddenly isn't that great, especially since not only would wilder's purse be fixed (he wouldn't get a percentage of the sales he created) he also would be fighting AJ on dazn which is in partnership with AJ's promoter. That isn't the best situation for any fighter to be in.
You're a smart dude. You know deals aren't made by top guys assuming they will lose. They make them assuming they will win.
Wilder is a fool.
You're a Brit so I understand why you are taking this position. We agree that his behavior since the loss has been immature and pathetic. That has nothing to do with this thread.
You don't make decisions about deals in sports assuming you will lose or get injured. You also don't evaluate decisions based on losing and winning.
We all agree $100 mil is a lot of money not to accept. However, as Hwt champ and potentially the face of American boxing as an undefeated HWT champ, Wilder could've made that.
I get all of that..it's the lying, the shamelessly laying the blame on Joshua.
Joshua is a decent man - anyone who observes him can tell that. He is not full of s**t, and he clearly wants to unify.
I mean...we got Wilder boasting about how hard they were trying to make the fight - but still Wilder fans blamed AJ. That made me disrespect Wilder.
The only teeny bit of grace I can afford Wilder is that he is quite unintelligent and I believe that he was manipulated by his advisors into not taking the fight.
To complicate matters, the animosity between Finkel and Hearn was never going to help, and the fact that Dazn was making moves stateside was more motivation for them to encourage DW not to fight AJ.
No matter. We see now who had class in defeat and who was utterly vile when he lost. Truth prevails. As fans we look forward to fights being made - I am just so so weary of Wilder's excuses for not fighting Joshua and now more excuses for his loss - I simply cannot see how he will risk himself an embarrassment at the hands of Joshua. He won't do it. He is so mentally fragile he would literally be suicidal if he took a beating. God has a way of humbling people who are too proud, it's Wilder's lesson to learn or not learn.
There's no question that casual fans would stick with Anthony Joshua win or lose or through thick and thin. I was referring to only the boxing fans.
I remember when he lost to Andy Ruiz many of you guys ducked for cover and weren't seen for months until he regained the titles again. Many of you were too embarrassed to even be seen on here.
Then there are those who left Anthony Joshua and have never comeback. They jumped ship altogether. His support among hardcore boxing fans is nowhere what is what before he was defeated by Andy Ruiz.
I think you're making it up? How many Americans would travel to Saudi Arabia to support their guy?
AJ took hordes of them.there on the back of an upset loss
It's a bit rich pointing fingers at UK fans. They follow fights and fighters a million per cent more than Americans do.
Why the F#CK is this thread even allowed on this forum when it has F#CK to do with Boxing!
Do Better Boxing Scene Forum! Since CBS Sports took over this Website/Forum it has gone to complete SH#T! A bunch of Mentally Ill People trolling and taking their frustrations with their own lives out on Boxers. This place is not mature enough to discuss certain things and a Topic on Race is one of them because it always go sideways every time
Time to Start IP Banning People Already! Enough Already! Keep it Boxing or F#ck Off elsewhere!
Having a discussion about racism.is not racism.
Why are Americans so salty on Hearn?
All he does is try to.make.big fights.
Is it because of Wilder's lies?
Wilder's character has been.exposed more than his s**t boxing, surely it's clear to anyone who the liar always.has been.
I think it should be in.Wembley, London England, home of where boxing was invented.
But if money is more important than fans, Saudi may get it, which sucks - Vegas would be a great venue too like.
If it's on the moon - I'm going.
Hasn't happened yet.
If it did I think you'd have to give props to Pulev.
Honestly think AJ will bring his Ruiz 2 game to that fight. The next time we see Joshua in a dogfight will be in a unification against Fury.
A fight in that one suits him much better than it does Fury.
I've got a question for you, straight talk please:
If Wilder manages to win the WBC back, and doesnt take either of Whyte or AJ on after that (assuming no Fury 4), would you begin to get on his case for his continued ducking?
That's good. I couldn't have been more proud of them because they are the ones that are help keeping the sport alive and relevant. Boxing has lost much of it's mainstream popularity and luster among American casual fans.
However, I must admit that the pay per view numbers were a very encouraging sign that boxing is on its way back in the states.
Hope so mate. We need a strong US base of quality young fighters coming through.
I thinking the hw division catches fire it may inspire young athletes to get involved- all weights.
Kinda like the rise on popularity of golf some of the gunslingers like Woods and co gave impetus to that sport.
Boxing will always have followers in my opinion, the UFC is a differemt audience of viewers.
Wilder is a 34 year old idiot
Floyd won't teach him **** but he will take 20% of his purse and have a getaway car with the engine running to flee to as soon as wilder gets MURKED again.
Hah, that's Floyd right there.
 You know I get so sick and Goddamned tired of hearing you Wilder hater's narrative about Deontay Wilder's resume and how he hadn't fought anyone before he became a contender and a WBC Heavyweight champion to the point that it bores the living shit out of me.
However, it's nothing new. It's a common complaint of all black fighters; Where the bar is set so much higher for them as opposed to Eastern European and white fighters. They have levied this same type of criticism against Mike Tyson, Roy Jones, Jr and Money Floyd Mayweather, Jr.
Well, let me ask you a question then. Who else was he supposed to fight back then when he was only a prospect coming up? Give me one name? Name one fighter!
Don't compare him to Joshua either because once he turned pro he received a push from sponsors and advertisers alike because he won the Olympic Gold medal .
So the opponents that Joshua fought couldn't have fought Wilder because he didn't have the deep pockets in order to pay them like a Matchroom Sport could. In addition, he was never the box office draw that AJ was either.
It was never hard for opponents to line up and fight AJ because he was always the money man in the division. It takes money to make fights. It's the bottom line. However, Wilder didn't have much of it to lure enough of them to want to fight him.
Why didn't Klitschko fight Wilder back in 2017 after coming off his hiatus? It's because Joshua was able to offer him more money.
However, you Deontay Wilder haters always blame him when fights fail to produce instead of checking his opponents for pricing themselves out.
Why you always make s**t about colour? You mad bro.
You're entitled to your opinion. I am sure if you were in a similar position you'd be forced to think about everything involved rather than just the amount of money in the media.
If you can't see Wilder's lying, cowardly and disgusting character at the moment - on full display for all to witness- there is nothing more to say. He is a liar who lied about his ducking AJ and who is not man enough to take his defeat properly.
He's stupid in the head. He should just man up and come back for more fights.
Calling Fury a cherry pick. Nice.
A 400lb coked up beer swilling fatty who had looked bad previously- this was absolutely a cherry pick that turned into a cherry bomb squad wrecking machine.
Wilder needed a name on his record and Fury provided that while posing little risk - or so they thought.
What about when Hearn says “Garcia vs Vargas will be an all out Mexican war”???
Why can’t it just be an all out war?
That is not racism.
That's you looking for it to be racism.
Racism in America is EXTREMELY bad. The vast majority of the time, it's a white person initiating racist behavior while black folk are just trying to go about their business.
Try opening up a history book for once..... You will see that the KKK had a huge presence in America and they would lynch and hang black folks for the fun of it.
in the 60's, white policeman would spray waterhoses and unleash dogs on blacks that would only be peacefully protesting.
A lot of racism by whites.....
You misunderstand me. I support and appreciate the oppression black Americans have suffered and still do. It's backward and unjust.
I just am taken aback by how often it appears in threads on here, a reminder to.me that it is still a big issue there.
I hate racist cops, kkk and their idiotic hatred..innate Trump for causing so much division (ironic that the word 'United' is the first word in the country's name and he is applauded as some kind of great person- I would hope no blue collar person of any colour would vote for him. I hate him.
Anyway, I'm sorry that you experience that. UK has our idiots too, but our police are more sensitive and racists get called out very seriously for their bulls**t.
Best wishes.
I get it but deep down you know I am right :lol1:
Just sayin' show me quotes from black UK fighters or fans talking stuff like this. Its extremely rare these days but pours from the mouths of Americans all the time.
Do you not get it? When engaging UK boxing fans the race card ain't in play.
Isn't he saying the same thing? He used God both times. Wilder is deeply spiritual. He is the grand son and son of two baptist preachers.
I'm sure they taught him to use the curse 'mothrrf****r' all the time.
He's a chronic liar who also said he'd like to kill a man.
I think your idea of 'deeply spiritual' is deeply flawed.
LOL, I didn't say that he was a saint. He's a sinner like the rest of us. However, he does have deep spiritual convictions and a strong belief in God "Like speak it, believe it and receive it".
He said that his grandmother told him that he was anointed by God and I believe her because he is a gifted puncher and a extraordinary fighter with a very limited boxing pedigree and ability.
The man is nothing short of a miracle and a prodigy.
His Grandmother can tell him whatever she wants - everybody's gramma tells them positive stuff and she probably didnt even say it in a boxing context.
He fought absolute nobodies for his first what, 30 + fights? Dude, this is boxing- there are levels. You can win 100 fights if you stay at the lower levels. He is not a prodigy, he is a hyped fighter who is extremely raw and lacks boxing skill who has been very carefully managed to get as far as possible against the easiest opponents.
He lies constantly, curses, has no dignity, could not take defeat like a man - and he ducked unification for over 2 years.
I do not like him for all of those reasons.
Here's a prediction for you: when he loses to fury again (for the third time) he will retire because he is not man enough to carry on and test himself against the best like AJ and Whyte and other established guys.
And don't come back at me with "he took on Fury and Fury is a good one."
He only took that in because he thought TF was a cherry he could pick, and that cherry punched his lying face in, in front of the whole world.
He won't fight again after another beatdown, mark my words. This guy has no character- and his fans making excuses about gloves and costumes and stuff, c'mon man it's literally pathetic.
So we're supposed to throw out the fact that nsac is the most stringent org on earth when it comes to gloves etc. merely because some internet warrior sees something in a shtty video?:pat:
It was reported before the fight that each fighter has to choose a left & right glove out of 3 different sets that are in sealed bags & completely under commissions control til fighter puts them on,& Theres a chain of custody the entire process & gloves are weighed etc.,so unlike with Dildo Needlejuice Shyte theres zero chance Fury cheated. Find a new pathetic excuse
Lol, you're up there with Richard Prior for great American comedy.
Keep em coming brother - this is good but not better than the costume one, but better than the "Anthony Dirrell's fault" one.
I don't think it's as good as the Mark Breland's fault one though, or the legs one.
It don't hurt anything. It's helped in the fact wilder can't hold that belt hostage any more. Whyte should of already had his shot at the belt, screw these stupid hoops and road blocks team wilder kept trying to put in front of him Wilder should want to face his challengers not do everything he can to avoid it.
Now it's Fury who is the WBC champ and I'm sure he isn't as scared as Wilder was. I doubt Fury will text Dillian about freezing him out for 2 years.
But after we saw what happened to Wilder the 1st time he fought a top fighter its no wonder he didn't want any part of Whyte, or Joshua, or Wlad or Parker or Povetkin or Charles Martin.
You can't educate these Wilder cultists - they're actually starting to make a noise about the costume excuse being legit.
F*****g weirdos.
Dont talk about it then. Ever.
It is as ridiculous as you say, not quite as bad as the costume excuse, which, unbelievably some.of these morons are getting behind.
It's flat earth levels of.lunacy.
What's even more funny is how Fury's victory has given Dillian new magic powers. Suddenly, half of this forum believes that he can beat Deontay Wilder. :lol1:
Joining Deontay himself in believeing that lol.
Wilder crushed Stiverne in one round and yet it took your wonderful Joyce many rounds to stop Stiverne after Wilder had already beaten him much quicker and easier. Now you also favor Breidis to beat Wilder. You have a history of posts having English boxers being superior over top American boxers beyond all logic, reason or common sense. Joyce is in his mid 30s already and will never be a world champion but dream on.
Hang on......Stiverne went the distance with The Liar too didnt he?
Hopefully they fight because I bet $$$$ Wilder beats all except AJ.
Even AJ I give a 60/40 chance...
This is the dumbest thread I’ve read in a long time. I think this dope is saying Tyson Fury SUKS!!! And these guys would beat Fury also
Nah mate, Tyson Fury is a good 'un
