I think it's more likely that Morales will fight on the undercard. Golden Boy talked about Mayweather facing Alvarez before and Alvarez was just on the undercard of Mayweather-Mosley. Could be hyping up the May 5th PPV by using Morales' name.
In no way am I saying that everything Fight Hype release in relation to May -vs- Pac is true. But good lord without them, I dread to think how easily Bob Arum would have fooled 95% of boxing fans.
In fact last year's fake negotiations was testimony to that.
Haha, yeah. ESPN would have jumped on it too.
Didn't Floyd also flat out denied that he was negotiating with Ortiz? Only for it to come out later that Ortiz was his next fight?
I think FH went along with it too, but now it seems FH wants people to know what's really going on here.
HBO is definitely biased. Watch Round 7, Marquez lands some good shots. Then watch the highlight they show of Round 7. Pacquiao footwork! The punch he throws doesn't even land clean.
I have watched all three fights live and I have never scored any of the fights more than once. I gave the first two to Pacquiao and the third fight to Marquez.
it was a close fight
i tried my best not to be excited and stay with it
marquez won by one or two close rounds
the more accurate, crisp, hurtful showcase punches were landed by marquez
marquez controlled the fight all thruout with range and good boxing... he studied him to perfection
compubox had manny outthrowing and outlanding by about almost 200 i believe... but we all know how accurate those numbers are
have to watch again to make a conclusive decision, maybe even in slow motion
Good post. Marquez studied the Mosley fight. Marquez was moving left the entire fight. Pacquiao couldn't land, same with the Mosley fight.
I hear you man, even Manny looked like he wanted to cry after the fight when everyone was booing him. He knows what time it is, Marquez should have won that fight. But there was no way, in a close fight, that they were gonna give the fight to Juan, not with a 100M vs Mayweather on the line.
Hopkins-De La Hoya all over again?
Lol, you're like the only Mosley fan left. Marquez moved to his left before the Mosley fight. It was Mosley who studied Marquez not the other way around.
He used that strategy more effectively. Pacquiao was not able to land the shots that he was able to in the first two fights.
I think Marquez underestimated Pacquiao in the first fight and was careless in the second.it's the sweet science man!
Haha. Marquez is brilliant, but I do feel that Marquez took advantage of what he or his trainer saw in the Mosley fight.
Styles make fights.... Marquez has proved that his style gives Manny problems. And if Manny comes in true to his word, looking for a KO win... that's when JMM does his best work. Don't know why everyone is so sure of a Manny Pacquiao blowout.
Good call dude. Thought Marquez edged Pacquiao. Predicted a Pacquiao KO. I feel bad for Marquez.
Cotto punished Pacquiao's face early and busted his eardrum at 145. It would be a 9 pound difference if the fight were to take place at 154. Those punches would be a lot more effective. I highly doubt the rematch happens at 154.
