Who knows? Maybe they did the discuss other weights with Mayweather's team, but ultimately decided on 150. Martinez probably gets more money for each pound he gives up at least. But Arum is just being silly, they could build a big fight card for that date, with top Mexican fighters on the undercard. They can have another split venue for Canelo. They can have Morales and Marquez on the undercard fighting in separate fights while hyping up a potential PPV between them.
