I'm not personally Canelo's number 1 fan. I'm a bigger fan of the sport than of any particular fighter. Look at this example I'm about to set. It took Mayweather and Pac forever for their fight to be made. Wilder and Joshua is taking another eternity. It seems as tho when you have a clear nemesis, the fight will always marinate til the end of time. Canelo at his young age and career has already done that twice (GGG) and moved on with his career and another dangerous opponent in Jacobs. Who else does that?

If Danny was in there instead of Lopez. Let's say it was a rematch... thoughts?

For fighters who are pretty well known but not superstars ie. Gary Russell, Dirrell Bros, ex champs who are still young, how do they maintain after being off the radar for so long? I know fighters like them made some decent money from their bit of fame but what about now? How do they manage? Regular jobs in the meantime? ..Quillen, Anthony Peterson, Gamboa, etc..

They are pretty much at the top of the division. If one clearly wins with no need of a rematch, where does he go from there?

I am pretty sure that it will go like this.... Ghost wins, then he fights the Thurman/Porter winner next just to get the belt from him. Garcia wins, he fights another "safe" fight to go with his same pattern. Thoughts?

Since he's making a return and Kirkland 's career is who knows, I think this would be a fun fight to watch. Imagine the build up alone. The fight would last 3 rounds tops.

I think this fight should be made. It would at least put a name under Thurmans belt plus he can officially retire him or it can prove to Berto that his is a real competitor by beating the welterweight boogeyman. This fight can answer some questions. Agree?

Why not bring in Glen Tapia to fight him? Probably would have brought in more fans too since he is a Jersey guy.

The top and highest paid fighters fight twice a year for the most part. Taking on BS fights like this year can easily throw away a whole year of good fights that we support. All this "let this fight simmer and build up" is BS. Who knows if anyone one of us will be here in a year or two let alone tomorrow and such. I want the big fights now. I don't want to leave this planet and miss out. Say for instance, if Pac and May happen next year, do you know how many people passed who were waiting to see this fight since 09? I'm not trying to make it seem like boxing is the most important thing in the world but as a paying supporter I would like to see what I pay for.

My coworker is Danny's cousin and he got the scoop. So Danny is fighting Ross because Harmon is getting him 1.2 mill. As we all know, it's just an easy payday to hold him over til a showdown with Peterson. After defeating Peterson the plan is to celebrate as the first rican with all the titles. At that point he will be guaranteed millions of dollars for each fight no matter who its against. Kinda like the Mayweather approach. It all makes sense. P.S. Screw Garcia and his whole camp.

Always hated that term. I mean seriously? That is such a lame excuse for looking sub-par or losing a fight. I don't watch basketball or baseball or even football that much but athletes that play multiple days or even weekly should be the only ones that have an "off night" here and there. Fighters and fans that use that as an excuse just don't want to admit that the other fighter is better than they are. How can you have an "off night" when you train and are 100% ready for a fight twice or three times tops a year? Danny Garcia for example(this is not a hate thread), lost to a better fighter in Herrera because Herrera is a better fighter, not cause he had an "Off Night".
