        • It has some exercises in their that would be beneficial but also some that you could drop...In boxing you really dont want to work the muscles like the biceps and such...You need more of a total body workout regimen in my book.

Depending on the type of syrup, it may actually increase the uptake of protien into your muscles/system. Sugars (like those found in syrup) create a spike in insulin which allows for faster absorption of nutrients into the body. It is the reason that many athletes and bodybuilders take Insulin to gain muscle. It is also one of the reasons eating sweets can make you fat. Take the syrup with your protien immediatly post workout. Other times of the day (like before bed or between meals) mixing with milk is ok - slow delivery of protien during the day creates for a good, consistant anabolic state. DONT use milk with protien post workout, and try to avoid the syrup any time but post workout.

I appreciate the advice you give Spinx and you are very knowledgeable in the boxing area (significantly more so then myself), and your training advice is decent, but be careful with the supplements and nutrition advice. You may want to research some of this a little more.

No offense or insults intended towards anyone. Just want to help.

i agree with u, i used to do bodybuilding so kno how body digests and takes this stuff in...the water thing, it doesnt matter that much. it is quicker-but not so significant to matter a whole lot especially if the guy is only using it for flavouring, 1/10 or woteva he said-then i'd say very very vey minimal difference.

I havent been able to join a gym, Im training out of my house and at a few others boxers house....

If you are going to the gym, they should provide you with gloves and such but if you are not down with using other peoples handy downs get yourself some:

                  Gloves
Comfortable shoes (I like cross trainers next to boxing shoes)
                  Mouthpiece
                  HAND WRAPS!!!!
                  Gym Bag
                  Padlock for your locker
                  Deodorant
                  Water/Snacks
                  Jump Rope

Really thats about it, unless other people have some suggestion but a good gym should have everything available.
