  • Alright i got another question i recently just bought a 100% mango nectar drink its like a half gallon of it. is it a good fruit to be drinking concentrated? heres the nutritional facts:

    calories: 130 Calories from fat: 0

    Total Fat: 0g 0%

    Saturated Fat 0g 0%

    Cholesterol 0mg 0%

    Sodium 5mg 0%

    Total Carbohydrates 32g 11%

    Dietary Fiber 1g 4%

    Sugars 31g

    Protein 1g

    Vitamin a 6% Vitamin C 100%

    Calcium 2% Iron 4%


    is this very good? are there any other fruit nectars you would suggest? could i also put this in my smoothies? would it be better than having a bannana in there? thanks spinksy spinks mc jinx

    • Id stay away from anything that is concentrated. I've never used nectar and it is jam packed with sugars, you need to try and make sugar a minimum and considering it is concentrated it most likely contains added sugars.

      • sorry to ask again dawg but I am a short fighter in featherweight (going down to junior featherweight) and im always the shorter fighter (~1,64 cm) so i wonder if you have tips and tricks for me ? i got my own bag of tricks but i can always add more stuff.

        • zip-I am a small fighter myself, I am 114 pounds right now trying to crack 112 before tomorrow for my fight(s)...Im also short a measly 5'6


          Anyways, a disadvantage to us short guys is SHORT arms. I try to fight at a distance a lot. I will jump in and then jump back out in hopes that I dont get hit.

          Your best bet is to do a lot of movement really, us little guys can jump around so footwork would be the key I believe.

          Practice your jab and keep the distance and use the uppercut, great arsenal if you are short. Also bodywork is another key factor.

          Their are boxing tips laid out all through the site do a search as you might find a style or certain punch that you like and can pull off nicely that will work well for you.

          • yes i found that double jabs really stops the other guys movement. And i dont know if it's bad or not but i lean forward a bit to give me a couple of inches more in reach. My chin gets out a bit more but it's worth it. I'm a bit bigger then you (googled and found out i was 123) but i got to drop down to 118.
            I like to throw a jab (louse one cause it aint the main attraction) and then come down with a right hook to the kidney. But i hit my thumb joint when i hooked the other day so my right is pretty much screwed for now.

            • If you are leaning in try to keep your gloves infront of your head to keep yourself less vulnerable.

              Right now I am working on throwing a right jab and then leaning to the left followed by a left hook to the body..Im pretty quick at it and plan to use it today hopefully.

                • i try to switch in a fight. Today in sparring i was in southpaw and i jabbedn the opponent away and when the opponent went back jumped forward corssing my left leg so i get into orthodox stance and then mash away with punches. It was really cool i got to work on it so i can do it in real fights.

                    • Jack-Yes indeed, I can switch hit but it hasnt worked for me so well in the gym as of late and I am more comfortable with southpaw...Much quicker and powerful.
