If ur after a KO punch i would go for sumtin right at there chin. or maybe temple area. if ur trying to plan a KO go for some nice hard punches to the body. theres nothing easier then helping a winded person hit the canvas.

        I'll second that.

        • My advice is not to just look for that KO punch, to many fighters do that these days and rely on power punches...What usually initiates a knockout if you dont have Prime Mike Tyson power is the initial weardown of an opponent, even Tyson used this.....You want to get your opponent wore down and feeling like he has anvils tied to his ankles break him down inside and then the KO will come, I dont recommend lurking for a ko punch but instead setting up a barrage of punches and the "KO" punch will come.

As others have stated, you want to do some explosive exercises (also great for combinations) Plyometrics is a great start...But also that the other end of the table you want to have a solid base, your balance and stance has to be perfect you have to possess power in your legs as well...

          Try these

          PLYOMETRICS-cant stress these enough really.

          Squats
          Presses
          Lunges
          Cleans and snatches
          Uphill sprints

All of these should help you to get what you want.

          • i agree with spinks

looking for a ko will leave you with a few options

and throwing knock out punches will leave you open for quick counters

its best to box and set up your punches and let knockouts come to you
if you punch proper and land clean flush punches they will come

too many factors weigh in when it comes to knock outs for you to look for them

but if you use proper technique and if your condition is right
you should have no problem counter punching and droping the infamous 1 2 on someone

              post exercise"

                • I posted this elsewhere but I didn't get any answers to my question. Maybe you can help me out... Thanks
On my speed bag it says I need 4 lbs of air. I pumped it up about to where I can indent it about half an inch. I went out and looked for a guage but I couldnt find one for that kind of valve (needle). I tried a standard leaving the needle in the bag but that didn't work. The bag takes about a second to bounce 3 times unless I whale it. So my question is, how much should the bag indent when I poke it? Thats really the only thing I can go by since I can't find a guage. Sorry for the ****** question but I over-inflated my last bag.

Pump it until it is rock hard, You will get a better reaction from it if it is hard, Dont know why you would go for it being soft.
