.....IMO Lennox was a great champ and he deserves his due. I never liked him much but I won't play blind hater. He took on a ton of big punchers and with it a great deal of risk and he avenged his loses(regardless of the fact that McCall was crying in the ring and presented no challenge). He was boring at times and overly catious, but he was still a great champ. If he and Bowe had fought he would have beaten Bowe's ass rather easily.

Yea it's not like many fighters have given up belts for better money options.

          Come on.

Look at Barrera after beating Naz at Featherweight. He gave up every belt to not pay sanctioning fees.

The titles have become useless in reccent years, and are full of corruption and greed.

The LightHeavyweight "Champion" hasn't even held a major ABC title in years.

are u telling me you have more respect for a guy who keeps his belt and defends against mandatory bums (a Roy Jones Jr.) than guys that say F THE BELTS, GIVE ME THE BEST like Antonio Tarver and Glen Johnson when they decided to fight each other in a real fight and gave up their belts?

do you respect Mayweather or Margarito more?

use your head, man, I know you don't mean what you said

I never rooted for Lewis, the reason being because he was great and i usually root for the underdog. He fought and beat the best opposition plus he was very respectful. His actions in and out of the ring are what made him great.

The most fights people really watched from ll are the rematches of when he got stretched.
Then i guess hopkins, roy jones, whitiker, they're not great champions because they are boring fighters. Damn man just quit typing, you making yourself look bad.

Exactly thats the difference. The first fight before that one lucky shot that rahman land, lewis was winning the fight from round 1 to 4. The rematch lewis was destroying rahman from rounds 1 to 4 until bam lewis ko rahman bad.

Lennox Lewis has probably been one of the top 5 heavyweights of all time in my opinion. If he had have been an American guarenteed he would be thought of as the greatest heavyweight of all-time. That's the only thing that ever worked against him the American dislike/jealousy/envy whatever it was that a man from another Continent so dominated the heavyweight division.
