which is exactly whats been going on.

      wlad KO byrd
      maskaev KO rahman
      lyko MURDER brewster
      Valuev KO beck and barrett

however, if you want to be the heavyweight champ nowadays you gotta be able to knock the white boys out.

Even when Lewis was in shape and took the fight seriously, he far from dominated the fight. There was no point in the fight when he ever appeared to even come close to taking control of the fight until he landed the right hand that ended the fight.
He may have been given the first three rounds but only because Rahman did even less than Lewis did, Rahman came into the ring dry as hell and tight as a drum, he simply didn't fight in the second fight. Was Lewis a better fighter than Rahman? Hell yeah, but if a casual boxing fan who had never seen Lewis or Rahman fight before, and then watched the two fights between the two of them, they'd most likely say "First Rahman KO'd Lewis with one shot, and then Lewis Ko'd Rahman with one shot, big deal". Like I say, any hardcore boxing fan would know that Lewis is leagues above Rahman, but those two fights did nothing to establish Lewis' superiority over Rahman, and the same goes for the Mercer fight. Lewis should have been looking to truly silence his critics with undeniable proof, but instead he was willing to take the "W" and then ***** about having doubters. I hated Ali, but he fought everyone, everywhere, and had no problem fighting a guy more than once if the fight was even close. Ali defended his title 10 times in a year, that's what a great champion does. Louis fought EVERYBODY bums included, he truly cleaned the division out, etc., etc.

Lewis was a good champion, He avnged his embarrassing losses He retired champ and had an impressive fight game. He beat up some top names Not all of which were in their prime, but never the less, He piled up the w's He's not a top ten all time, but it wouldn't be reaching to put him top 20 is that greatness. yeah it probably is

tyson is NOT a better champ than Lewis
But then wat makes a great champion?
Lewis was a great fighter throughout his career, whereas Tyson shone brightly for only a short amount of time.

I think Tyson was the better fighter at his best, but Lewis the better champion by far.

Ali was anything but boring and I never said ll wasn't smart. He is just plain boring. Further more, to be a great champ aren't u suppose to have exciting fights and make people want to see u ? what fight made u say Damn I need to see him next time ? The most fights people really watched from ll are the rematches of when he got stretched.

I dont think he was boring, but after being KO'd he was hesitant and reluctant to step in. A bit cautious.
His wins over Ruddock , Klitchko and Briggs were definatly not boring.

I also dont think it was his job to entertain us. It was his job to win fights and not get KO'd for a third time. He earned millions and is regarded by most fans as one of the best heavies ever. So i think he did his job.
