Corrales was a undefeated killer, and much bigger than Mayweather

Those are casuals that don't know what they're talking about. They weren't even watching boxing when Mayweather fought Corrales.

Has Floyd ever took a risk like going a great fighter, a bigger fighter, a fight where the circumstances were against him (ring size, gloves, arena, etc.)? I give Floyd props for going against the bigger ODLH at a weight class he wasn't used to. That was a great win that propelled him as the face of boxing. After that, I'm not sure if Floyd took any major risks.

When I think of major risks, I think of SRL going up in weight after retirement to face the Great Marvin Hagler or Ali fighting Peak George Foreman in another country. Or Teo facing Loma when as a young green fighter.
Mayweather faced Gennaro Hernandez for the super feather weight title when he was only 21 and Gennaro was unbeaten in over five years at the weight, was also lineal champion and wbc champion.

Mayweather vs Diego Corrales was a huge risk for noth fighters for obvious reasons. It would be like Teo vs Tank or Haney vs Ryan Garcia.

          Mayweathet vs Castillo.

          Mayweather vs Oscar dela Hoya

          Mayweather vs Canelo.

Look at Mosley he just pulled off a destruction KO of Margarito and was chasing Manny hardcore , he even begged for a Manny fight saying he would go to 145 same as Cotto, Roach said youre not Cotto and Mosley said how about 142lbs, he was refused .

Mosley that Manny thought was a big risk at 142 Floyd beat at 147 and then Mosley fought a draw with a B grader and guess what, Manny jumps up says lets go the 147 is ok now.

These idiots fail to see any of this, they actually totally ignore so much thats between the lines with all this stuff that they accuse Floyd of doing, thats why I jump all over their hating ass with truth bombs they cant get over.

That fight turned me into a huge Floyd fan. Definitely a memorable fight. Not almost any current boxer has a memorable. With Floyd, you have many to choose from.

Floyd fought a consistently high level of opposition. He was always the favourite because he was his generation's best fighter. Yes, we all know the disappointment that Floyd-Pac never happened at a point in time when both fighters were running hot, but his resume is ahead of all but a handful of other fighters and light years ahead of the average for fighters who reach the world championship level. Honestly I'm not really interested in seeing fighters take "risks" the way Mikey Garcia, Kell Brook or Amir Khan did, where after a long spell of inactivity or runs of mismatches against no hopers, they wreck their careers in pointless suicide mission type fights against guys they don't have a realistic chance of beating. I just want to see good fighters consistently fight other good fighters in their division, and by and large Floyd delivered on that with his career.

Another “risk” was Floyd’s choice, when accused of squeaking past Castillo and Maidana to immediately rematch them both and win.

It is psychological harder when you are the favorite also, especially at elite level 'Sometimes it is easier to be the underdog' there is less pressure.

I have no idea why? People try and make out that it is more difficult when being a underdog.
