The whole cherry picking idea is born from haters, how can anybody call Floyd a cherry picker and be a fan of Manny, its comical and Ive challenged all of them here to debate me comparing resumes head to head fight for fight, timing weights and opponents form going into the matches, none of them will take me up on it because I will blow them away I will show Manny is by far a bigger cherry picker than Floyd by far.

Its easier for the haters to makes some wild attacks on Floyd and when you get into them they throw some insults and run off to say the same sht somewhere else.
He is clearly not a cherry picker - whoever says that is plainly hating and this place is full of attention seeking behaviour.

That is not to say Floyd avoided challenges - there is definitely truth to that.

There is truth to saying he did not like to fighters when they were really hot.

Floyd is a complete genius in the ring but I think there is truth in that he is a very insecure person and i think those insecurities manifested into his professional career.

Ultimately he didnt like to challenge himself on the regular, that's a fair assessment. The level of his opponents is only relative to his own talent - he is probably a top 5 talent all time - I dont think many would debate this. But in terms of resume, accomplishments, you would have him top 20, so that tells a story in itself.

You can make this a Pac vs May debate, but ultimately Manny challenged himself more often, there is no denying that. I'm not saying - he is better or accomplished more (debatable) but he certainly challenged himself more and continues too today even.

People just dont know how to articulate the above so they call him a cherry picker.

What I would say completely objectively - great career, but managed his workload in a way which wasnt always pleasing to fans but operating this way increased his longevity and keeping his faculties in tact.

I agree with the TS that the Oscar fight was maybe the only time in his career where I was pretty uncertain about the result.

The cherrypicker is Floyd, it's all over the internet and on the streets. Your fight by fight analysis isn't changing nobody's mind who is convinced that Floyd is the cherrypicker's cherrypicker.

You ask Floyd straight up why did he duck out of ww division for two years, or why he take so long to make certain fights, or cherrypick Berto over Keith Thurman, and he will literally change the subject to how Al Haymon guided his career, or some shiny new toy he just bought. Dude is a flim flam artist.

However, he choose to play the 'bad guy' and used it to his advantage when it came to markets his PPV fights.

Floyd was the highest paid boxer in history, he achieved that by marketing and careful career management. Using that standard, its hard for him or his fans to complain about 'haters'.

Would he rather be paid less and loved / respected more?

        No way.
        - -TBE TUE 51-0 was the congenital B side who couldn't draw flies until he fought Oscar. Even Daddy Sr who trained both said Junior got whooped.

Then he leveraged Canelo, Manny, and McG MGM Floyd and then ran from the lucrative rematches.

Had his BALCO Juan and BALCO Shane purses seized for back taxes by IRS.
