    I don't agree.
I don't mind having 3 belts makes unifying fun, brings in lots of champions and different styles.
Different promoters are just like having UFC and Bellator but atleast sometimes we get the promoters working together.
Boxing just wouldn't be the same if it was run UFC style.

this is actually a solid statement.

also mma fighters and fans are a bunch of gay weirdos.

mma fighters are usually to untalented to ever become a professional boxer tbh.

And yet we have 1-3 in the UFC Clay Collard fighting for Top Rank, 5-6 in the UFC Fabio Maldonado building up a 26-0 boxing record before going the distance at like 40 with guys like Takam and current top 10 ranked Rivas. Jarrell Miller building up his undefeated record in boxing while losing twice in kickboxing to 5-6 in the UFC middle aged Cro Cop etc etc.

Lol @ acting like the bar for simply getting a pro licence is so high when theres a bunch of pro boxers who dont even try to win 90% of their fights still being regularly booked to help pad peoples records. Practically everyone in the UFC could get their pro licence in boxing and build up an undefeated record crushing cans and/or guys that are paid to lose.

MMA is outhustling Boxing.
Over a decade imo. The UFC started gaining ground on boxing rapidly in the mid 00s, by like 08/09 it had already edged it out in most respects and has been on top 90% of the time since. Boxing has short infrequent spikes when something like Canelo/GGG or Fury/Wilder happens but the UFC is just more consistent. This coming weekend is one of the rare few where boxing has more hype.

"I'm here to report what's going on...I'm the weatherman. I'm gonna tell you if it's rainin' or snowin', or if it's gonna be sunny. Boxing hasn't given us a lot of sunny days guys. I have news for ya...it's been rainy!? "

He goes on to say that "Boxing has been putting on sparring sessions, and the UFC is putting on actual fights....What am I suppose to say!? Not Say it!? And not say that I'm interested in it!? and not say that I appreciate the competitiveness they're giving us!? Damn right I'm gonna say it!"

This clip can be found here:

I am a big fan of both sports, and I tend to agree with him. Too many mismatches. Why is it so unacceptable for a boxer to lose? Why is it more acceptable to line up 30 tomato cans and knock them all down then to be in compelling match ups that fans want to see?

I'm a huge fan of both sports, so I've given this a bit of thought over the years. What do others think?
              - -Looneytunes Teddy in training for when one of them mma guys turns him into a pretzel.

This is what happens after a decade spent fruitlessly looking for the email that would indict Manny on felony drug charges.

Show Teddy some mercy, after all Cus ingloriously kicked him out of Iron Mikes training camp.

He coulda been somebody. He coulda been a contenduh.

You just said most MMA fighters arent talented enough to become pro boxers, then I point out a dude that went 5-6 in the UFC (including being KO'd with pure boxing in 35 seconds by the current HW champ) going on a 26 fight undefeated streak in pro boxing and unsurprisingly the goalposts are shifting again.

And Clay Collard was a ****ing bum who washed out of the UFC in the space of a year which should tell you that plenty of MMA guys could do better than him in boxing if they made the switch.

Max Holloway: total strikes 137 of 219
Clay Collard: total strikes 73 of 213

so you consider being a journeyman bum as being a professional boxer??

by that logic anybody could be a professional boxer OR
                    a professional mmgayer.

i think you are just salty that mmgayers cant fight with their fists like men tbh
