You tell me a time when boxing has had structure? Name me a decade when boxing has had structu hire? Stop idolizing the UFC.
The day when boxing gets run like the UFC, is the day it become marginalized.
So how many participants are there in the UFC? So you want the sport of boxing to consist of a few 100 fighters, dictated by 1 promoter? The day that happens, is the day the sport of boxing is destroyed.
All the things people complain about in boxing, have always been 'Boxing is a democracy, which has no central nucleus'. This has pro's and it also has cons, but I believe boxing should stick to its roots 'Although there is nothing stopping a promoter or organisation trying to branch away to create a organisation like the UFC' to please all the people up the a*s of the UFC.
There is too much history in the sport of boxing, organisations are not just going to disappear 'To make way for 1 organisation to dictate everything'.
Some of you guys are too anti-MMA. I get it. You don't like it. That's cool. But the thing the UFC did right is model itself after every major sports league out there. Boxing hasn't & it's not good for boxing.
Boxing is the only sport that's more run by the athletes than anyone who's putting boxing first. That's why the sport has gotten diminished more & more & to many sports fans it's one step up from pro wrestling.
If that means it gots to copy the UFC, which ultimately copied the NFL, NBA & MLB, so be it.
Looking at boxing the whole era I've been a fan has seemed like a dark age of sorts with so much dispute & confusion as to who the best reallllllllly is. I want boxing to make more sense. I want boxing to have a structure that's more in tune with other major sports that put together a more consistent high level product unlike boxing.
Teddy will wear out his welcome with MMA too. Just wait.
He has a lot of boxing knowledge from his days as Cus D'Amato's top assistant. If he left it that he'd be fine, but he pretends to be a master psychologist too which gets annoying real quick.
Today's boxing is such a watered down, corrup product it's a shadow of its former self. There aren't that many great boxing matches to look forward to anymore, whereas MMA is producing great fights on a weekly basis. This has been the case for several years now. MMA is outhustling Boxing.

And boxing ain't a democracy. It's anarchy.
It is not so much the mixed martial arts 'There is just something about the culture which surrounds the sport that does not sit well with me' It can attract a certain type of character, that I may dislike.
I have no personal beef with any members here, but I will say this? The few members that do kind of annoy me, seemed to be heavily into mixed martial arts.
Eff Pandas from my perspective, the things people complain about within boxing? Have always been 'It is nothing new'. That is why I think ultimately the sport is fine 'It will prevail'.
Note: I can envision some sort of separate boxing organisation being created and run just like the UFC 'I can envision that happening, because there is nothing stopping any promoter in boxing taking on such a task 'But people will still gravitate towards the historic organisations that have always dominated'.

I don't think boxing can prevail to it's max expectation til it makes sense. And it's far from making sense.
There used to be more integrity in boxing. There used to be one champ. There used to be more sensible rankings. There used to be more done in the name of boxing. All that stuff is a sh^tshow now. And idk that anyone involved in boxing wants to change things or at least enough of them to make any positive change. Everyone is happy cashing big checks fighting guys even hardcore's gotta boxrec sometimes to know who tf they are.
As to the UFC stuff like I said fair play. I ain't mad at anyone for not liking it. For me I've always been a fan of all fighting styles not just boxing. MMA, kickboxing, muay thai, that bkfc thing, etc & so on. Hell I used to even love watching sumo at 3am on ESPN Ocho or whatever back in the day. And to me the UFC stuff in the context I'm bringing it up in is about the thing they did right by copying all the high level leagues of other sports. Boxing would be 10x better than it is now if it was ran like a dictatorship like every other sport.
Yer but isnt that what makes Boxing great.
Fighters are their own company and they can manage their own self however they see fit.
Its a shady business all the way from the top to the bottom.
Its what it is and what it always should be.
Do you think boxing would be the boxing we all love good or bad if it was run like UFC?
I think boxing would be 10x better if it worked like any other sports league. I mean imagine the top 2 guys in every division being lined up to fight each other next? That's what boxing would look like if it worked like the UFC. What fan is mad about that?

Gtfo
The skill level in mma is atrocious with the exception of a few guys.
It’s like saying bar room fighting is making “great” fights lol
