I enjoy MMA but my main issue with it is so many dudes seem to gas out.

I would say one or both fighters gas out in as many as half of all UFC fights. And their heavyweights are usually completely out of shape.

The UFC and Strikeforce HW divisions around the time of the SF HW GP were pretty close in quality, thats true. Its not like this was a mystery to most fans at the time though.
That's exactly my point bud. I don't see where, other than presentation, you're meant to be posting anything counter intuitive to what I said.

Maybe I babbled too much and jumbled it, but, yeah, by the time Reem and Brock actually fought they were not top guys anymore. Just two years prior, hell just a year prior, and they're both considered among the top five. Brock, Reem, and Fedor were top 3 then while the UFC promoted the best fighting the best.

What I'm saying is there's always a period when the UFC isn't full of **** and really has the best in the world. It's fleeting. They had that after they bought Pride until SF made an argument. They have it again but I don't think it's going to be any more lasting than it was then.

To make it full circle, Teddy is a whore and the UFC is doing very well at the moment but when the UFC goes through another fall from grace it'll be back to " I Wish X could fight Y but UFC won't co-promote" without the brand itself ever taking a hit.

At that point Reem and Brock were considered #3 and #4, pretty sure it was supposed to be a no1 contender fight (Cain/JDS happened the previous month) so it was still a huge HW fight. Reem was actually more credible then than he had been a year earlier, because he was coming off a win over Werdum in the SF HW GP. Before that he had mostly been can crushing for years.

Eh, Pride overall was probably better, but Strikeforce basically only had one division that seemed equal to its UFC counterpart. Then there was WEC which was great but was mainly focusing on weight classes that the UFC didnt even have at the time.

There are no promotions that are remotely close to the UFC right now in terms of strength of competition. Current Bellator pales in comparison to what Strikeforce was 10 years ago. Rizin pales in comparison to Pride etc. There are plenty of UFC caliber fighters dotted around the different promotions but there isnt a single division that is overall stronger somewhere other than the UFC or a single champion that seems more credible than the UFC champ at his weight. And thats not just based on the UFCs marketing either.

I'm fine with boxing people liking MMA sh^t. Hell I'm a boxing fan who's also an MMA fan.

And Teddy is 100% correct that boxing is effed up.

Myself & many others have been saying boxing is a sh^tshow for years. Decades hell lol. The sport makes no fooking sense outside the ring. It's probably the only sport where the goal is to make the most money possible without giving fans a consistently quality product. It's the only sport where no one is looking to maximize the upside of sport.

The best thing boxing could have happen is someone with some juice & a sexy bank account come in & organizes the sport in similar ways to how baseball, football, basketball, soccer & yes even MMA got organized & now people with a vested interest in those sports doing well push those sports forward.

No one is pushing boxing forward. It's just a bunch of people cashing checks & hoping they can cash another check in the future.

seems to get more appreciation and respect from the MMA guys than he does Boxers

Teddy I'm sure is not happy with how things went over at ESPN and how the man was basically demoted for giving his honest opinion and telling Jeff Horn to his face that he thought he lost to Pacquiao live on ESPN. After that Teddy was demoted ad replaced by Mark Kriegel then eventually Bradley and Ward

So yeah maybe he feels a bit shunned from Boxing and is covering more MMA. His most viewed videos on his youtube page are with UFC Guys Jorge Masvidal and Dustin Poirier so I don't blame him for covering more UFC especially when it is way more popular than Boxing at the moment

After decades of watching boxing I’m edging more towards the UFC, the fights are consistently competitive and it’s set up as a real sport where the best have to fight the best.

It took me years to work out boxing isn’t a real sport, you can’t have 4 or 5 “champions” in the same weight class, all actively avoiding each other and still claim it’s competitive.

I’d go as far to say I’m only now interested in the big boxing PPV worthy fights from now on.

Teddy is insufferable. He takes 10 hours and 50 analogies or metaphors to say one ****** thing you already knew he was gonna say. When the number of guys you train and want to kill with a gun is more than 2, you probably have some issues.

Exactly my thoughts. There is nothing bigger & that feels more epic in sports than a huge fight. But these guys are more into cashing checks than moving boxing as a sport forward.

Boxing needs some structure. Boxing needs a... dare I say it...Dana White or Roger Goodell or some cat who's running things & who's saying what's what. You can't have the inmates run the asylum. No sport works like that except boxing.

Atlas is an idiot, that's why he got demoted, Horn should have smacked him down so it's a credit to him that he didn't.
