1. If DAZN is claiming that Smith or BJS are not elite then they should tell GBP and Canelo who is. Surely they are not expecting Canelo and GGG to just keep rematching until both contracts are up.

2. Canelo is probably using this as an excuse to get out of both contracts he has with GBP/DAZN otherwise he looks like a huge Diva here. How can he expect to make the same amount of money during a pandemic? This time for boxing is like a recession for the sport and during a recession you cannot expect to make what you normally would. Millions have lost their job and/or had to take a pay cut in their salary. Entertainers etc should be no exception.

DAZN brought in a bunch of incompetent execs who knew nothing about boxing, and no surprise - they made bad deals.

DAZN thinks that Oscar De La Hoya and 2 MMA fighters (Masvidal & Khabib) are A+ level "premium" opponents. Never mind that Oscar hasn't fought in 12 years and the last time we saw him, he was fighting at 147 and getting TKO'ed by a smaller guy. And never mind that the other 2 guys aren't even professional boxers.

No, this isn't Canelo's fault. He is under no obligation to cuty his purses. Other companies had language in their contracts that covered unexpected events. DAZN chose not to put that in their contracts, so it isn't Canelo's job to do that for them. All Canelo is doing is insisting that his contract be honored.

DAZN never knew what they were doing, and now they're paying the price.

While what you are saying may be 100% true, are you the type of person that needs their McDonald's coffee cup to have printed "caution HOT" so you do not end up burning yourself on accident if you spill?

Just because a contract says one thing does not make it right. Canelo is probably using this as a way out of his contracts with both parties but it still makes him look like a diva.

Pretty easy to make a comment, if you're confident you speak truth! I just want to know if they do not consider Callum Smith and Billy Joe Saunders elite? Both have titles and are undefeated. GGG has losses on his record, and barely beat Dervy, so how is he acceptable for full pay, and not the undefeated champions?

I think you are spot on with this...

While I've got my su****ions as to what's really going on with all this and who exactly is to blame, I don't think anyone in this whole she**** is entirely without blame. Just look at their personalities. Hearn can be obtuse and difficult and hard to bargain with, Oscar is coked out and seems to be overly sensitive to criticism and is constantly feuding with people, and Canelo is a huge diva. I think the best thing for everyone is for this lawsuit to be dropped in return for Canelo being released from his contract. I also think it's better for BG and Canelo both if Canelo leaves Golden Boy and becomes a free agent under his own brand - he's got the cash and the clout to do it. It's been a loveless marriage between Oscar and Saul for a long while now and it's better for everyone, most of all the fans, if they divorce as cleanly as possible.

Canelo is NOT expecting to make the same money during the pandemic. He is willing to take a threefold decrease to fight -- zero money from gate receipts, zero from endorsement and sale of merchandize from the fight and a 33% pay cut from his $35 million minium guarantee. Get your facts straight.

The casuals want to see these fights that are not really fights because they've been sold a bill of goods and run with it.

You got Claressa Shields claiming she beats whatever MMA chick. Casuals eat it up.

You got these rappers beefing where Floyd is pushing to have them put on gloves. Casuals eat it up.

Remember you had celebrity boxing years ago that were just mini-exhibitions - casuals will eat up real boxing matches with outcomes with these people.

Casuals ate up James Toney going to MMA (mostly because he hyped it) despite him having NO chance.

CM F'n PUNK. A guy that was a green belt. Goes to MMA and pulls HUGE numbers despite that MF'er having NO chance in hell of being competitive even at the lowest levels. The casuals were sold on his training videos and they fell for it.
