DAZN had no idea this pandemic was coming, no one did, and most reasonable people realise what was is not what is.
Except for Alvarez. I have always thaought he was a bit of a ******, but this completely confirms it for me.
If the P4P rankings included depth of character then Canelo would be outta there. Selfish f*^k. He's still going to be receiving megabucks for fighting just twice a year, and only once a year is he expected to fight someone who is respectable.
I don't care who he fights, as long as it's against an opponent who isn't on their way to journeyman or heavy bag status. The GGG fight doesn't interest me anymore as Golovkin is nearing 40, and Canelo has his number, do it will be entertaining but a decision for carrott boy.
Saunders, or Smith are decent opponents, as are Charlo, Munguia, Andrade, and a whole host of young fighters.
But we know Canelo will pick according to the Mayweather business model: Get ém while they're coming off a tough fight, make weight demands, dictate everything from ring size, to gloves, referees, judges, ring walk, and even what toilet paper is to be used.
I hope the bum loses and has to cough up most of what he's earn't in legal fees - that will force him to take the riskiest fights for the biggest rewards - unless he is happy fighting Ryoto Murata's and Rocky Fieldings until retirement.

Was Oscar’s plan to bite a bullet and salvage a Canelo date for Q4 by fighting an opponent similar the way RJJ and Tyson were lined up with? DAZN took Oscar’s approach and hit back at him to say, “we’ll if you’re willing to fight how about you fight Canelo?!” These is Hearn conspiring too.
Don’t be surprised that after everyone is compensated or resolved to end this lawsuit, that Matchroom plans to sign Canelo. This way the board at DAZN doesn’t have to work with GBP and instead with Matchroom.

Even if they thought AJ was gonna become the next big mainstream HW champion who'd be bigger than Canelo once he took that nasty KO L they shoulda pivoted to a more Oscar & Canelo-centric battle plan worse case.
And I think they were also betting on Eddie winning over America like he won the UK which also early on seemed like a bad bet also. Having a bad plan happens, but you gotta pivot not keep on riding out the bad plan.

Oscar’s playing both sides.
He used Canelo’s name to secure a deal for his fighters but is trying to blame DAZN for the tension he caused.
Like Oscar and Mayweather before him, it’s time for Canelo to break away from the big promoter and do his own thing.

I think this outcome has real possibilities. We shall see.
The best resolve is to give Canelo his 8million difference from what he agreed; the 30% cut. Which is 24million for a “premium shows” and acknowledge that Smith and BJS are premium fighters.
DAZN needs to forget about $17mil which is what they want to give Canelo for Smith and BJs.
So all this hassle is 8million give or take. DAZN is acting ****** if they can’t resolve this for the time being.
Just give Canelo the fight at the premium $24mil and take back their list of the UFC fighters because they are seriously taking the piss should they take that to court.
DAZN would ideally not have even entertained such a ridiculous list.
Then in 2021 everyone should sit down and revise the contracts.

People don’t realize but Canelo is doing Oscar the favor because GBP is pointing fingers to DAZN. GBP can’t make the fights unless of course GBP pays the difference of opponents which wasn’t agreed upon from the beginning. GBp can’t make the fights or have the final say for what’s to be shown on DAZN.
Canelo is asking the court to rule that he can "participate in bouts arranged and promoted by en****** other than Golden
Boy Promotions."
Canelo could have sued DAZN and GB without asking for that. But instead he is asking the court to void his contract with GB. That's not doing a favor for GB
