Meanwhile (judging by those photos) Oscar's plans of an immediate comeback are going swimmingly!

DAZN had no idea this pandemic was coming, no one did, and most reasonable people realise what was is not what is.
Except for Alvarez. I have always thaought he was a bit of a ******, but this completely confirms it for me.
If the P4P rankings included depth of character then Canelo would be outta there. Selfish f*^k. He's still going to be receiving megabucks for fighting just twice a year, and only once a year is he expected to fight someone who is respectable.
I don't care who he fights, as long as it's against an opponent who isn't on their way to journeyman or heavy bag status. The GGG fight doesn't interest me anymore as Golovkin is nearing 40, and Canelo has his number, do it will be entertaining but a decision for carrott boy.
Saunders, or Smith are decent opponents, as are Charlo, Munguia, Andrade, and a whole host of young fighters.
But we know Canelo will pick according to the Mayweather business model: Get ém while they're coming off a tough fight, make weight demands, dictate everything from ring size, to gloves, referees, judges, ring walk, and even what toilet paper is to be used.
I hope the bum loses and has to cough up most of what he's earn't in legal fees - that will force him to take the riskiest fights for the biggest rewards - unless he is happy fighting Ryoto Murata's and Rocky Fieldings until retirement.
If you envy Martinez’s disability, knowing Canelo has had knee problems - or if you yourself dip or do traditional defensive squat maneuvers while pivoting or countering then you’d appreciate everything that Canelo does in fights by technique and skill alone.
So why are you crying? It’s unrealistic.

I have a torn meniscus (knee) torn shoulder blade muscle, rotator cuff wear, and a bulging disc in my lower back. Those injuries really do manifest more than before, and I have to walk the tightrope, so Sergio gets full kudos from me just for getting in the ring.

Complete incompetence from DAZN.
Even if they thought AJ was gonna become the next big mainstream HW champion who'd be bigger than Canelo once he took that nasty KO L they shoulda pivoted to a more Oscar & Canelo-centric battle plan worse case.
And I think they were also betting on Eddie winning over America like he won the UK which also early on seemed like a bad bet also. Having a bad plan happens, but you gotta pivot not keep on riding out the bad plan.

And yes... fans lose interesting match ups and big fights.
This is why boxing fans drink.

Yea Dazn from the start obviously didn't know what they were doing by having inexperienced Hearn handle the us fights instead of Oscar who was in and promoted the biggest fights In history. Now we have random lower level English guys headling our cards instead of golden boys stable. Absolutely unfathomable

While I've got my su****ions as to what's really going on with all this and who exactly is to blame, I don't think anyone in this whole she**** is entirely without blame. Just look at their personalities. Hearn can be obtuse and difficult and hard to bargain with, Oscar is coked out and seems to be overly sensitive to criticism and is constantly feuding with people, and Canelo is a huge diva. I think the best thing for everyone is for this lawsuit to be dropped in return for Canelo being released from his contract. I also think it's better for BG and Canelo both if Canelo leaves Golden Boy and becomes a free agent under his own brand - he's got the cash and the clout to do it. It's been a loveless marriage between Oscar and Saul for a long while now and it's better for everyone, most of all the fans, if they divorce as cleanly as possible.

It was documented that Canelo was willing to take a 30% cut, not a 50% cut.
So DAZN’s move was 20%. Keep in mind DAZN did approve Canelo’s request of a 30% cut for the Smith, BJS names. DAZN still wanted the 50% cut for these fighters because they weren’t “premier” fights.
Look at European Leagues and their propaganda. Messi and Ronaldo agreed to a 70% for 4 months only. The difference is that these footballers were STILL MAKING money and now back to their full salaries. Those reports for football was just due diligence PR and corporate responsibility to get consumers STILL loyal to football ratings or subs for whatever European platform.
Canelo however, is already in the CLEAR months post pandemic the way these footballers are now in the clear to receive their usual pay. Point is why does DAZN have to apply previous pandemic circumstances for Q4? Canelo already lost a May date as did DAZN. Canelo brings the numbers. DAZN is just being selfish and insecure. They want a spectacle fight against a UFC fighter to make higher deliverance. That’s like the European leagues making the Final Championship games sooner for what? Quicker financial recovery?
Canelo will win the case.
