After getting into UFC, boxing has become so boring

I'm skipping it. UFC 251 was dull as hell too and I regret buying it. I'm a casual MMA fan going back to the Pride days but it is boring as hell as often as boxing is.

I'll buy any card with Gaethje on it though.

The problem comes down to fighter pay. The UFC can afford to put on stacked cards every month because the top guys are paid Dogshît compared to top boxers. 1 mil is a life changing pay day for MMA fighters whereas 1 mil is what a boxing titleholder expects when facing a top 25 guy. Usman just got a base pay of 500k on a PPV that sold over 1m. Ryan garcia thought 250k was too low for a fight with no gate. There’s no incentive to fight the best consistently because they’re already making bank for easy fights. So dana white is fûcking the fighters over but it allows him to give the fans what they want. We can’t have it both ways.

Guy turned from a kind of scrawny B level fighter into a ****ing supermutant who at one point was also the best HW kickboxer on the planet. He was no joke no matter how many losses he might have picked up over 20+ years.

As for Brock, he was a division 1 level state and national champion college wrestler with a 106-5 record before he went into the WWE or anything. Wrestling is the strongest overall base for MMA. Add to that that he was juiced to the ****ing gills and probably somewhere in the top 50 of most impressive freak specimens ever to compete in any sport and its not like he was just some random guy who walked into the UFC and won a belt.


Holm ws undefeated when she won the belt...plus its womens MMA so meh.

I've been saying that boxing is trash for the longest time now. it needs a complete overhaul a one world organization to oversee everything. promoters should only PROMOTE the fights.

Eddie is a huge fan of what Dana did with the UFC and wants that model for boxing. It's better for the fans period.

People will say "oh what about the boxers pay" if you really cared about their well being you wouldn't support a sport where they punch each other in the head.

boxers should be fighting for the glory. too much money talk stops good fights. in fact many boxers are overpaid by a lot.

Being(or actually staying) a boxing fan is a chore. A lot of it stems from childhood loyalty.
