Yes they’re hands have you seen how atrocious they look?

For every skilled Henry Cejudo you have 10 guys who rush you against the cage hold you for 15 mins then are awarded a decision for actually preventing a fight.

      ***ing Canelo vs Yildrim ffs.

      Says it all.
This is the downfall of boxing. Very few truly exciting match-ups a year to get amp'd over and to make it worse they try to pull this off (Canelo vs Yildrim).

This is how I felt from the first round of Benavidez vs Angulo last Saturday...

Well, canelo vs yildrim didn't happen and was blocked. If you like UFC, go right ahead. The door is right there -------->
You are welcome. This is a boxing forum.

Plenty of them have decent hands and could be solid boxing pros, although some boxing fans hate to admit it. Besides, MMA boxing is obviously not going to look the same as queensbury rules because of the tiny gloves (it feels closer to bare knuckle than boxing gloves), the kicks/knees and the wrestling. It effects the stance, defensive skills etc.

You say that theres so many guys holding opponents against the cage avoiding a fight, but most people would admit MMA is the most violent looking sport of the two with more finishes no? also wrestlers sure as hell aint "unskilled" in any way, shape or form, and you cant really just "hold" someone anyway, you have to be striking, going for a submission or advancing your position fairly regularly or the ref will say you're stalling and split it up.

The ground stuff is a lot rougher than it might seem too. Even ignoring the striking and subs, if you're on your back you're getting your cardio drained hard because you cant breathe properly due to the pressure.

Boxing screwed itself with it’s multi headed hydra of scammers and greedheads leaving the fans in the dirt. At least Dana consistently makes fights the fans want. Frankly I don’t much care for ufc but I cannot debate their consistency in delivering big fights for the fans. Boxing, these days, is a harsh mistress, but on the right night, can still be magical like no other sport.

Same here. I have always followed the UFC but I am a huge boxing fan, however since lockdown I have really enjoyed the fights put on display.

It is a shame Boxing takes so long to put on the best match ups out there. I hope one day things will change for the good.

                Okay, JJ, then what?

It's a pretty shallow division he's already ran through. So shallow you named one guy and said Francis might have been nothing the first go but now...kinda the exact promo package I said they use all the damn time and can for other fighters.

I don't understand the brand loyalty. Have him fight UFC fighters he's already beaten because he's probably going to beat the **** show champs in the **** shows?

He probably beats Francis again too....you know this.

JJ's hardly a man to hang out for. He'll likely get the fight and **** it up regardless of how well he fights....you know this.

So, outside of handing guys like Bader a payday, the **** are you arguing for?

UFC is real competitive, so competitive their HWs need LHW to bring a threat to their HW champ. Super-duper competitive.

Like you know, Conor being able to skip ranks, fight when he wants, who he wants, lose, be inactive, be handed easy fights, still get seen as one of the best p4p active fighters....super competitive.
Jon jones, Stipe, Francis, blaydes, rozenstruik, derrick lewis... the names and fights that can be made in this division is good. the big difference between it and boxing is that these guys actually fight each other.

                lol Conor handed easy fights

He had one easy fight in his whole UFC career and that was his last fight. People like you have too short memories.

                Just stick to boxing dude
