Reid and Woodhall were far better technical boxers than Ricky.

Mayweather clearly had losses. Calzaghe never came close that I can remember.

So in comparing records, first it must be acknowledged that Floyd's record is inaccurate......but even in its true state, is miles above Calzaghe's.
Gatti was a punching bag by then

Thats 3 undefeated fighters at 3 different weight classes
Canelo was at his best at 154-175 of the last few years.

Hatton at his best with that fouling mauling of old inactive Tszyu at 140.

True. Joe clearly won all his fights (including Eubank, Reid and Hopkins) for me, clearly. He out-threw them massively and was not a misser, broke his hand against Robin.

Floyd lost to Castillo and Maidana, old faded blown up short armed Oscar deserved a draw.

Shane and Oscar and Pac were 10+ years past their peaks. Eubank, Reid and Hopkins put in their best ever performance AFTER the Joe fight (Thompson II, Ottke, Pavlik).

Not being smart, I’m serious. When was he a frightening puncher?

Also to answer your question, Jeff Lacy was the most overhyped boxer in the last 20 + years and that was based on physique and the package deal of Panchito Bojado, Rocky Juarez and Jermain Taylor if I’m not mistaken. They were all sold as the next great boxer and we saw how they all turned out.

Taylor and Juarez has the best careers and that says a lot.

First five years of his career before his hands broke. That single sweeping left took guys clean off their feet, sounded like a ******* going off. Andy Flute said Calzaghe hit harder than Benn in sparring, sparred both in '95-'96.

calzaghe shouldnt even be mentioned in the same breath as floyd.

the only thing they have in common is fighting over the hill opponents.
