Floyd never really fought anyone near their best post-Corrales, apart from maybe Cotto.

Calzaghe's adaption vs unbeaten Kessler (no blueprint) to unify all four titles and win over lb4lb #1 Hopkins (Floyd was retired) for Ring belt at weight above and the performance against Lacy (winning every second of every round almost) ***** any of Mayweather's adaptations, wins or performances ever. He also had 20 title defenses against all styles and dominated fighters of superman stature in Eubank Sr and Jones Jr (not saying they were at their best, but of their stature!).

So it's Calzaghe for me. He proved he could get off the floor to win too, win with literally one hand, all sorts.

I am a big Joe Calzaghe fan, but I'd have to say Floyd has the better resume, and it's pretty clear to see. People criticise Joe for fighting soft opposition during his WBO reign, which is fair enough. But the big mistake was staying loyal to Frank Warren for so long. Joe's legacy was definitely hurt from being active during Warren's reign of terror over British boxing. But still, Calzaghe is one of the best these shores have ever produced.

Floyd stopped both undefeated Hatton & Corrales.

Floyd is better in every sense. His resume is lightyears better than Joes.

Joe wasted his career spending over a decade fighting absolute bums on the Cardiff ice rink while Floyd was fighting killers like Castillo, Corrales, Chavez.

The only truly decent win over a prime opponent Joe has is Kessler and Floyd probably has 10 wins over better opposition than Kessler, that is telling.

Floyd actually beat some killers in their prime or at least while they were still killers. Diego Corrales, Arturo Gatti, Canelo maybe a couple others.

              Calzaghe was mostly a vulture.

Mayweather clearly had losses. Calzaghe never came close that I can remember.

So in comparing records, first it must be acknowledged that Floyd's record is inaccurate......but even in its true state, is miles above Calzaghe's.

Prime undefeated Hatton not near his best, no? Shane not near his best despite freshly pasting Margarito? People can make all the excuses but Marquez wiped the floor with a peak Manny twice, more emphatically than he did before & looked great at and around the weight apart from vs Floyd.

Schooling Jeff Lacy wow what an incredible feat! Like a 42yr old RJJ didn't either, kin hell the useless yop made Roy look like he was still at his peak!
20 title defenses against guys like Tocker Pudwill, Charles Brewer, Will McIntyre, Kabary Salem
Eubank Sr was shot to bits & dropped down from Cruiserweight on 11 days notice, he was an absolute zombie as for Roy he was 40 odd, 3 K.O losses and a good 6-7+ years removed from his best.

Floyd touched down before from a broken hand funnily enough and came back and won. He fought Castillo with one hand also.

Joes resume is so thin people have to mention Jeff Lacy among his best wins.

Then they act like it was some great schooling. Just some guy slapping a heavybag for 12 rounds, that is all I seen.

Floyd schooled far better fighters than Jeff Lacy that nobody acknowledges, why is this?

                    9-0-0-0 against legit world champions.

It's not even close. Floyd by a landslide.

Not too mention all 24 opponents are better than the likes of Bika, Woodhall, Mitchell, Brewer & Lacy.

Likely all better than RJJ & Eubank Sr was at that stage of their careers also
