Joe Calzaghe last six fights were epic? Roy Jones Jr., Bernard Hopkins, Mikkel Kessler, Peter Manfredo Jr., Sakio Bika and Jeff Lacy. Calzaghe ended at 46 fights.

On the other hand Froids 46 fight was Marcos Maidana. The 1st fight. Many including "moi" believe Maidana won the fight.

Jr's 45th fight was Canelo Álvarez too young (cherry pick).

Jr's 44th fight was Robert Guerrero love that guy but he is no Mikkel Kessler.

Jr's 43 fight was an old Miguel Cotto (still much love-but old).

Fight 42 was the sucker punch of Victor Ortiz (shows she has no class).

Fight 41 for Froid was an old Sugar Shane (cherry pic).

Win 47 for Froid was Maidana II under protection of Las Vegas.

48 was Pac's no need to tell that story (Pac's hurt shoulder, Jr's IV bags).

49 was an old Berto (I like cherries).

50 was MMA guy (give him a loss but with an asterisk).

How many places did Slappy venture in ?

May put in his work, maintained his p4p king long enough for the 2 end of career gimmies. There was no one his size who would trouble him.

Putting the contrast another way, anyone single one of mayweathers's top ten wins eclipses joes entire resume.

You are comparing an ATG with a titlist with a handful of recognised defences, whom are ten a penny.

                  These guys are poles apart.
The thread does have some value, it shows how records can show polar opposite factual information.
But Joe didn't duck anybody, and Mayweather did (Khan).
Both greats, but JC for me.

wat, joe avoided someone every other bout, check out his career in detail, every years its "i'm gonna fight this guy" replaced on the date by a loser.

The great Calzaghe often travelled to England as the away fighter vs Mr Livingstone Eubank, Reid, Starie, Woodhall, Delaney etc

Plus Vegas, NYC, and Europe twice

                      Mayweather never left his hometown
