The guy is turning down the chance to dethrone King Loma. May never have the same opportunity again.

Arum needs to find a replacement ASAP.

Just because hes Hispanic you think that he will draw more people than Lomachenko?

        Thats so laughable.

Thats based on what? I guess every hispanic person must be an A side against any non hispanic fighter huh?

If i was Lopez I would take the fight because unlike him and 99%of the guys here im not a bjtch who runs my mouth and then backs out when it gets serious.

People love to talk and Teo has done a lot of talking. 1.2 million is not peanuts for an unknown who doesn't have any drawing power.

You really think he has it? Why not provide the peak views of his fights compared to that of Lomachenko? That should be easy enough.

He was so confident just a few days ago. Claimed himself that he would beat Lomachenko easy with or without fans so he was aware that he would not get as much post covid.

So where's he now? Afraid to take an offer of 1.2 million?

And this is not like a Canelo situation. Lomachenko isn't making 35 million a fight. He's making 10 times less.

Again, the problem with your point is Lopez did just what manny did. Then the COVID hit and bob cut his sum but not loma’s. That’s why he is asking for more now, not because he isn’t willing to take less, but because he is the only one being asked to take a pay cut.

          2 questions:

If the situation was reversed and Loma was being asked to take the cut and not Lopez , do you think Loma takes that?

Would you take less in this situation if you were in Lopez shoes ?

I didn’t post anything like that so I’m confused why you ask.

Lopez drew well at the Garden. If you saw my other post, I made the point the fight itself is the selling point more than either fighter. I also clearly stated Loma should get more. The split just shouldn’t be as wide.

You are not being honest about the situation. Lopez agreed to take more already. Now, post COVID, and with the fight appearing to go to espn and not ppv, bob lowered Lopez amount but not loma’s.

If you were Lopez would you take the money in this situation?

For you to equate that with fear is just bias. If Loma had his number lowered like this I doubt he would fight either. You wouldn’t call that fear, you’d be mad at bob.

From what I saw it's a 70/30 cut. It's not like Loma is getting 30m. i think it was like 3.5 vs 1.5 which is more than reasonable IMO.

Especially when you have groupies on here saying people should fight Canelo for 2m

Loma doesn’t have any star power here in America. That’s why it’s not a ppv fight. Despite all of the hype and media d-riding, the public doesn’t care about loma.

It’s a unification fight meaning that Lopez is a champ himself. I could see loma getting a bigger split due to having 2 of the 3 belts but a 70-30 split for a non ppv fight? They’re low balling dude in hopes he does pull out.

This is true. I said the same last night. Loma fans don't seem to understand this reality. Lopez should just walk.

he has to at least push for a 40-60. That 30-70 is no vaseline.

It's better just barking and trying to squeeze out a couple more dollars, if he doesnt face Loma next this fight might never happen. All the trashtalk and now its a money issue? Beating Loma will increase Teo's purses alot, you have to beat the best first to get these crazy purses. UFC has given the fans so many great fights already despite the pandemic and these guys would dream about getting a million plus unless your name is McGregor or Khabib and boxing is full of pathetic Divas. who rather sit out or face nobodies. Getting sick of this.
