it was reported that lomachenko is making 3.25 million which is less then his contractual guarantee.I didn’t post anything like that so I’m confused why you ask.
Lopez drew well at the Garden. If you saw my other post, I made the point the fight itself is the selling point more than either fighter. I also clearly stated Loma should get more. The split just shouldn’t be as wide.
You are not being honest about the situation. Lopez agreed to take more already. Now, post COVID, and with the fight appearing to go to espn and not ppv, bob lowered Lopez amount but not loma’s.
If you were Lopez would you take the money in this situation?
For you to equate that with fear is just bias. If Loma had his number lowered like this I doubt he would fight either. You wouldn’t call that fear, you’d be mad at bob.
So lomachenko is taking less for this fight.
So you have zero argument. The fact is Teo is making what, 4 times his biggest purse in these Covid times which is a good offer but not what he wants.
Combine that with how easy he thinks this fighy will be and that every other week he claims it's hard to make 135.
Why not take this fight? He said he was ready and waiting. That he would fight with or without fans. That means he understood he would make less and he's not deserving of more.
He has a shot at glory and its not for pennies. You think he draws. Show the proof. Provide some numbers. Im telling you he's not a bigger draw than lomachenko. He is not the A side. 3:1 is plenty fair.Comment

You can't blame Lopez for trying to negotiate a few more dollars. This is his livelihood, and this is his financial reality. This is how he sets himself up for the future. Everyone has a right to look out for themselves, to seek to earn what they can to secure their future.
Boxers sacrifice a lot, and risk a lot. I wish more of them were able to make enough money to be financially secure for the rest of their lives.
So you really can't blame Lopez for this approach. I hope he does manage to get his offer raised.
On the other hand, if this turns out to be the sticking point which prevents the fight from happening, then Lopez has flat out ducked Loma. Given how much he has run his mouth in the past, this will be a big hit to his personal credibility.
I don't blame him for negotiating, and negotiating hard. I can respect that. He should get more if he can. But if the fight isn't made from this point, even if the offer isn't increased, it is a Lopez duck.Comment

$1.2 million isn't peanuts. Take the offer and beat Loma if you're so confident that you can win, then you will make way more. These guys want big checks but don't do anything to earn it. He risks his life yes but he chose to box, that's how it works. You can't blame Lopez for trying to negotiate a few more dollars. This is his livelihood, and this is his financial reality. It sounds like he just wants to be compensated for his loss against Loma if/when it happens.Comment
