Teofimo Lopez: Stop Low Balling Me or No Fight

So looks like this fight was no longer going to be on PPV. But if that is the only way they can get the money, then they should go that route. Lomachenko gets big money every fight so no surprise there but it is costly for ESPN.

Come on Bob, figure this out and get it done!

Typical story about greed in this effing sport.
They beg for the fight and when it is offered,
they yell, "I WANT HUGE MONEY!"

$1.2 million is lowball for a relative unknown?
      Are you kidding me?
      Makes me puke.

Sadly, I got a feeling this one isn’t gonna happen bro...

Do you think the purse reduction is essentially Arum moving the show from ESPN PPV to regular ESPN?

Lopez should take it. Sounds like he hates Loma.

If you want to beat him up so bad...

Take the money, beat him (if he can) and run it back.

Part of me hates it and feels Teo is being greedy. Part of me understands his point. Gotta take care of your business in fight sports, otherwise you end up broke and punch-drunk

While I understand your point in general, You are making a classic mistake in your analysis.

Unknown isn’t the same as drawing power. He draws more fans to msg than Loma does. He is from the ny area and has a huge following in the Latin community.

His compensation should reflect that, right?

I’m not saying it should be a 50/50 split but he is a champion in his own right. if you feel champs should get more, the split should be a little better than 75/25 right?

                    That is a lowball.

Lopez is worth twice that easy so fight should still get made. If this is on regular ESPN no way this isn’t a mega event.

All fight fans know Loma from MMA to boxing and Lopez is known as well.

Pacquiao broke records fighting Horn, this fight could beat that one in ratings.
