One thing that stood from the Lara-Hurd fight was the huge size difference.

Looked like a Junior Middleweight against a Light Heavyweight. Hurd is a big guy.

You can't change a judge's mind if they've been paid to pick otherwise.

Yeah too right. Hurd is disgustingly big for the division. I don't know if there's been a bigger weight bully ever.

Hard to argue with that. But his style and mindset never tried to compensate. Should have picked up the pace more and really forced their hand.

Maybe if we were going by Olympics rules but hes going to lose fights with his style. There is no controversy with his Canelo fight IMO he didn't do enough.

He's just one of those fighters that would give any fighter with any style problems. But he has long spells of not throwing much and utilizes too much movement sometimes. I think It's tough for judges to award him rounds just for making his opponent miss but not much else.

He 100% got robbed in the PWill fight and the first Vanes fight imo. The Hurd, Canelo, and Castano fights were all extremely close and could have gone either way. I do think though that he lost the Carlos Molina fight clearly.

So underrated, seems to be a nightmare to deal with for everyone. Slippery southpaw with great foot movement and excellent straight punching, probably the best of current fighters at moving. Maybe Ioka has a shout as that too. Regardless. I'm always impressed with how he's adapted that classic Cuban amateur style to the pros. How would you rate him talent wise? I think it's a shame he won't be remembered as one of history's possible #1 p4p fighters in his era.
Definitely got robbed by Williams. The Canelo fight could have gone either way, but thought he lost the Hurd fight. Got battered late in the fight. No shame in that...And many think he got a gift against Molina. Then very easily could have lost to Castano.

Overall, very good fighter indeed and one that is still a tough out for anyone. Would love to see him get a shot against someone like Charlo or Rosario.

That Rosario fight seems to be on the cards alright. Bet it would make for great viewing too.

Fair enough with your picks. Carlos Molina was underrated too. Another guy who could've gotten more credit. Only K9 ruined his strong streak but that dog got some bite.

I haven't watched the Canelo fight in a long time. My memory of it was that Lara schooled Canelo with defense but didn't actually fire back with much of anything. I remember thinking that Lara allowed Canelo to win by choosing to not do much.
