Lara is a great fighter and sure he's underrated. I do feel like another poster said he is boring and though I agree with you on understanding that's technical boxing at it's best the general public doesn't understand that IMO
I watched all of Lara's losses

I basically said this after you just worded another way. It's a good outlook on Lara and it's this style he has is why he wont be considered P4P anytime soon. He lacks the awe factor.Lara looked better in losses than when he wins. He just doesn't have a high output and mainly is a one two defensive fighter.
The Canelo fight was embarrassing they way he ran. The Williams, Hurd, Angulo and Castano fight were great fights.
Lara has a ton of skills but like all defense first fighters he doesn't appeal to the massesComment

He's not pitty pattying his way to decisions though, he's thoroughly outboxing his opponents and counters with solid shots.Comment

Fair enough, it's the main criticism of his in that fight. I agree with it too. Just Canelo isn't exactly a volume punching powerhouse either. In fact he's very guilty of having terrible punch output for the level of boxer he is. That engine of his is genuinely awful.Comment

He is definitely 1 one the best defensive fighters today. Like I said the general public cant appreciate that but that's probably because they've never had someone steadily trying to punch them in the faceComment

No they do not sir. I think he might be even better than Mayweather at the whole hit and not get hit moniker. It's only ever been a slugfest when he's decided it would be a slugfest. Plus I think now at 37 we'll see him using his legs less and less but there's no doubting the excellence of his boxing skills.Comment

Yeah I guess that's why I like him. He's the boxer's boxer. That slickness can't be appreciated by casuals nearly enough.Comment
