Serious question - does any group overhype their fighters more than the UK?

Apparently, the popularity of boxing in the UK is something that UK fans should be ashamed of.

Well gentleman...it appears they have come back, in droves...he.ll just check my signature below for the type of insanity we will now be having to deal with after Fury beating Wilder.

Men...it will not be easy to beat back these savages...but rest easy...very soon I'm sure AJ will get chinned again...and the great Dillian Whyte will surely lose too, as great as he is...what a stud that fat tub of goo is...he has to take PEDs and he still sucks.

For every one great UK fighter - a Tyson Fury for example - there are 3 Liam Walsh, Ricky Burns and Liam Smith type fighters...who get incredible hype at the UK level, are said to be world level, and are then embarrassed when they step up to world level.
I was getting hammered at an airport bar. It was the weekend of Floyd vs Hatton. There was a room to the side and it was full of just brits wearing Hatton v Mayweather T-shirts on their way to Vegas. Sum were real bullet headed looking toughs too. Me and my buddy finished a bottle of goose. I walked into the room and yelled “There’s only oooooooooone........” waiting for them to finish the sentence. They all sat there dumbfounded. I called them all out on it. Wasent one person worth buying a drink for, and nobody came out after to meet us at the bar and talk boxing. It was one of the most disappointing moments in my life.

              Nice trolling.
You've got paid shill commentators stateside - loads of them, insulting your intelligence with their s**t commentary LMAO at Kellerman, Ward and Lennox 'pay me to say stuff's Lewis. Do any of you actually think you are being given impartial boxing observations? See, itd never happen in UK, we don't get talked down to like we are all f*****g ******. But you believe it cos you're fed it 24/7.
Other than Al Bernstein, all I hear is ridiculous promotional bs from.Kellerman and co.
Wilder was 100% pure hype, and you come on here with your head stuffed up your arse. FOOH, you're talking to actual boxing fans. Your best guy just got thrashed by the 4th best UK hw.
Wilder is a ducking fraud. As well as a coward.
UK has taken over and it's better for all fight fans - go sit with Shelley Finkel, you're about as entertaining as that old dinosaur.
              Salty cos you lost

Exactly!!!!! I would like to know what the people who criticize UK fighters have done in their lives that is so much better than fighters who became world champions! Are these people who diminish UK fighters - at the top 1% in the world at what they do for a living that they can downplay UK boxers who made it to the top 1% at what they do for a living? Every critic of UK fighters would love to be so embarrassed by becoming a world champion - and achieving what not even 1% of every man that has laced up gloves, pro or am will ever accomplish.

Spot on, the fact with their claimed soccer stars is that a lot of them are foreigners, they can't even produce enough good ones themselves.
