He missed like that because he was throwing wild like that.. I saw the fight.

Are you defensive because you think he has pure talent and mad skills?

Lol @ pure talent and mad skills

He does have skills and gargantuan natural power.

I don't really like Wilder but there's zero doubting his abilities at this point.

How a fighter gets it done is irrelevant. You should know that as a Pacquiao die hard. Wilder always gets his man until proven otherwise.

I like Wilder. Think hes good for the division . I just know soon its gonna end. He has power. But i cant forget where 95% of his KOs came from. (guys who had no business in the ring) But so far as the comp got stiffer...hes answered the call and comes through. The test began with Ortiz. And good for him Ortiz punched himself out and was doing great until he got laxed and folded up like a lounge chair. Fury AJ ...gonna be the test for him. Hope he keeps it up. I like Fury also,

Where Wilder and Fury are at in twrms of level of quality at the momement is yet to be seen.

Wilder only notable win is against a guy who only has one notable win his whole career too in Jenning over 4 years ago.

Fury post retirement after getting done for PEDS, Coke and being inactive on eating a drinking binge. Hasn't beaten a top 40 fighter since 2015 and struggled aginst Wallin.

            Love threads like this.
Yes, this HW era isn’t as strong as the past but that doesn’t mean that fighters from the past could easily beat the top three now. The depth and readily availability of quality in a specific era doesn’t elevate the abilities of ALL of those fighters to the point where they can beat everyone is history.

Would Ali be a top 3 fighter nowadays? In my opinion, No. He wasn’t big enough - plus his out of the ring actions would have made him super-unpopular with the snowflakes. Same for Mike Tyson. Rocky was too small and unpolished. Doesn’t mean they weren’t all great for Boxing. There are things about most top HW’s from the last 75 years that would mean they wouldn’t last in the modern era, and vice versa.

Fantasy matchups need to go in the Fantasy Matchups section of this forum. I prefer to live in the real world.

We can't know whether they are great despite their obvious limitations, or if they are overrated based on their limited number of strong respective attributes.

                Both are unproven.

Fury has one notable win. Wilder has none.

They might be great. They might be average.

That’s fair enough mate, I was worried this was just an AJ fan who was butthurt about the the two best HW’s fighting on Feb 22. I can see you’re consistent though, and I partly agree that the division is incredibly weak but it has been for 15-20 years IMO.

AJ and Wilder have had success purely due to their athletic capabilities IMO, neither possess high level skill or technique.

Fury is pretty skilled for a man his size but his lack of power would be a concern if he had to face better HW’s from yesteryear.

I'm glad the overrated 90's/00's era is done with. Lewis and Pedlyfield were great. And Chicken Bowe whilst he was around. Iron Mike was a great c/d/e level destroyer but nothing more than a good boxer, would maybe be top 15/20 HW today. I think War Chisora would destroy Tyson.

I like Wilder as a fighter but not as a person.

If someone was going to expose Wilder it would have been Fury in the first fight. Unfortunately for Tyson, Wilder will now have no regard for his power and he will walk right in an annihilate him. Most likely.

That said, AJ has no chance and Usyk is just too small. Wilder will be the undisputed HW champ just as soon as those fights take place.
