Line is currently at +200, so he would make an even $160,000 and the $80,000 he originally wagered.

Not sure to ne honest. But people forget aside from the knockdown of ruiz, ruiz was still out boxing aj early on made him sheepish and crouch down to his height when in mid to close range. Aj was asking his cornerman what shall I do as early as round two. Mcracken said straight punches only aj decided to hook and got caught as his straights weren't landing enough. Ruiz can outbox him or stop him

He's pretty much set in doing it again by putting it on Ruiz. His reasoning is because AJ supposedly suffered a severe panic attack meaning that in the rematch, all of the pressure and eyes will be on him and he believes he will suffer yet another panic attack because everything will be overwhelming.
He also believes he's mentally weak, which makes since as he clearly quit when the going got tough.
He said this will be the last time he bets this big again, but he's been saying for months that Ruiz is holding all of the cards in the rematch.
He has not placed the wager yet as he's waiting to get the best odds possible, then he's going to unload it all at the Westgate superbook on the very last day. So if anyone is at that sports book, you can see him making the wager there during that time.
You probably wont be able to convince him not to make this wager as his mind is pretty much made up, but what advice do you have? Do you think this is a solid bet?
Once he's been hurt and stunned, AJ doesn't recover well, but he won't make a mistake like that again and give Andy a chance to catch him early. If Ruiz wins it will be be by applying steady pressure and banking on AJ's stamina giving out in the later rounds. If AJ can hang in there till the end he will probably win on points.
Andy might win, and I won't be at all surprised if he does. But AJ is not some weak willed quitter, and he isn't going to fold easy, like your dad seems to think he will.Last edited by kafkod; 11-28-2019, 06:03 PM.

Best of luck to him but I don't like the bet to be honest.
I think aj rushed in last time once he had ruiz down and just got caught. I still believe wilder sparking brezeale early a few weeks previous made him rush in and try and do a demolition job on him.
Think aj will be very cautious this time and win on points

If Ruiz doesn't end the fight, he gets outpointed by a wide margin.
Very tough to outscore a guy with that much height and reach on you. You take jabs 9 out of 10 times you step in. Ruiz will be banking on getting inside the tenth time.
What odds can you get on a Ruiz points win? I'm guessing you could almost write your own ticket.
