They are obviously chasing money contemplating Saudi Arabia so Ruiz should get more since the location isn’t a place agreed upon.
Ruiz should is easily a bigger draw in the US than Joshua, the fight should be in the States since the whole point was the build up Joshua’s rep here stateside.
All BS as expected. Money talks and Joshua was exposed. Will get beat in the rematch.

I am no legal beagle but it seems to me that a rematch clause, in this case, has many features in common with an option.
Specifically, a formal option has a certain value going in, and that value often changes. Sometimes when the value changes a lot, it is better to just pay the option out and not exerscize it.
Ruiz future performance in this contract is leveraged against his new value since winning. So Hearn has to address that future value. And to me that is the central issue, not that Ruiz can be held to performance.
If Hearn does not address that value then it will be worse for Joshua. It is almost like this contract is voidable due to Ruiz's win...Though I known this is not technically correct.
The contract is voidable due to Ruiz winning?? No wonder you think one of the biggest morons on the forum is talking sense. Haha. Makes perfect sense.

The point is that it is rational to expect that Hearns renegotiate the contract. It simply is the case that it might be better for Ruiz to break the contract under these conditions, like the cookie example.
People keep talking about the rematch clause in the contract as though it is set in stone...it has already been renegotiated considerably. Again, this will be considered as well.

But with it coming out as a draw, Fury was able to do what he wanted. He did. He signed a big money agreement with ESPN while Wilder gets less than half of that. Haha.Well, I was thinking of the Wlad rematch and how that didn't happen and how Tyson hasn't gotten his belts back since, but, he's still a high profile HW with strong bargaining position.

Fury may have bargaining power but hes built up a rep and has a loud mouth it took him years to get to where he is now and doing it against your favorite fighter Wilder isn't exactly hard knowing he won that fight on top of Wilder needing him to create a ppv .
