I agree. He can get more money outta DAZN by keeping the PPV option alive for as long as possible.

People act like Wilder is the only one in boxing ******** on themselves. With how much money DAZN would likely offer Joshua now for 5 years worth of exclusivity they are probably risking more money then Wilder is risking by not trying to go for a DAZN deal know. If Joshua catches an L or two before he signs a long term deal he's thrown away 9 digits easy. Thing is just like Wilder Joshua knows he can get even more money if he waits just a lil longer.

If neither, one or both end up attaining what they think there ultimately value is who knows.

youre mistaken about how ppv works. for major ppvs, hbo and showtime have put up the guarantees for decades. had joshua accepted the wilder fight, showtime would have fronted joshua's 50 million and he keeps that money even if the fight flops.

No it isn't a loaded question. Regarding this fight I don't think a less expensive price will drive sales up. This is the biggest fight in the sport, sales aren't driven by price like say choosing to buy a Civic over a Mercedes. It's driven by interest-like a Super Bowl ticket or a ticket to a Broadway show.

I was assuming the fight would be in England, not in the US. If it's in the US I'm sure Vegas would pay a significant site fee.

I guess if the fight sells 2 million it would be enough to get AJ $37 mil and the rest he'd get from the overseas money.
It probably would be the biggest fight in the sport, but not in the US, unfortunately. Wilder vs Fury only did 325k US PPVs, and that was after a fantastic promotional tour in which both guys - and I'm giving Wilder his dues there - played their "roles" perfectly.

Most of the promotional action and the fight itself, of course, happened in the US, but the buzz those pressers generated in the UK was as high as for AJ/Wlad, if not higher.

If all the Mexican American interest couldn't push Canelo/GGG sales much over 1mill, and Wilder/Fury only did 325k, I think 2million for Wilder/AJ is wildly optimistic, to put it mildly!

And it couldn't happen in England, btw, because Wilder has categorically ruled that out.

Hearn can't have AJ sign to DAZN. That decision would have to be made by AJ, not Eddie.

AJ is not exclusive to DAZN, that has been open for quite some time.
