I don't care who or what race is at #1 P4P but Loma and TC have done a lot more and beat stiffer competition than Clen-elo. Even Mikey has faced, and won, against stiffer competition, with the only blemish being Errol "The Truth" Spence. Oh and btw, I am huge Mikey fan too, and he's Mexican, because guess what? I couldn't care less about race or ethnicity; I base my opinions on boxing skills. If that makes me a hoe, then so be it... "Hoe" now has a new meaning. 👌🏾😁

Before the Jacob's fight I had Crawford, Loma, then Canelo on the P4P list. But after Canelo beat Jacob's then Canelo is #1!
Jacob's is a way better victory for Canelo than any win Crawford or Loma have and if you can't see that then you're either hating or you a ****** dumb motherfuccer who don't know shet about boxing!

Yeah that's very true. It appears that his body is slowly beginning to break down. However back to Canelo/Spence; I would rather see the natural maturation of Spence growing into those higher weight classes rather than him just jumping from one weight division to the other because he can. That tends to age fighters more quickly. I don't want to see him ending up like Adrien Broner moving up in weight before the natural maturation process begins because it ended up ultimately costing him his career.

I surely didn't think he was going to beat Canelo after losing to GGG and beating Derevchenko given they don't have Canelo's footspeed, dexterity, athleticism, agility or balance.

Spence on the other hand seems to have all these traits which makes it a fascinating matchup IMO.

If bigdunny1 is correct and Canelo proves to be the better boxer and more athletic than Spence then we could see a complete drubbing akin to Floyd/manny.

I think Canelo is better defensively than Spence. Canelo’s hands appear to be slightly faster. But that could be due to him facing bigger, slower guys that what Spence sees as a welterweight. Canelo’s hands didn’t seem as quick when he was in with Floyd and Lara. I don’t think either Canelo or Spence are anything special when it comes to foot speed. I think Spence can jab the **** outta Canelo al night like he did Mikey. And to be perfectly honest, Canelo at times appears to almost concede the jab. So Errol can win rounds. The biggest issue I see Spence having is that I don’t think he can hurt Canelo. And I think that Canelo is gonna walk him down, start timing and countering Spence with power shots. And I’m not real sure how Spence is gonna hold up once that starts happening.

Depends how he chooses to fight. He is losing to Canelo regardless but if he goes into survival mode and runs from Canelo he won't get beat up. Or if he ****s with Canelo he could go out in a stretcher. A lot of these fighters we talking even top elite fighters have shown that once they see canelo's hand speed and counter punching they want no parts of it and either jab their way to a loss or simply run from Canelo to a loss. I do know this Spence has less traits and skills to outbox Canelo then other fighters who have already tried and failed and Canelo keeps getting better and smarter. His only chance is to mix it up which other fighters who have get hurt badly by Canelo or knocked out. Or try to outbox him and look foolish like Jacobs did but at least say well I didn't get knocked out take your paycheck and go home like Mikey did. Hell even pacquio didn't take many chances took his paycheck and went home crying about his shoulder is why he couldn't fight and make more of a effort on Floyd but he didn't get beat up physically by Floyd...he would of if he really got aggressive and tried to win he would of ate big time counters from Floyd and got hurt.

Or Spence shows he faster and more athletic than Canelo, outboxes him for the majority of the fight like Floyd and Lara did, and loses by SD or gets a MD with 2 114-114 scorecards.

I remind you that many thought Trout, who is not as fast or as good a boxer as Spence, was leading the fight when that awful scoring was announced that had Trout down huge and changed the whole outcome of the fight.

Of course Canelo has improved since he fought Trout, Lara and Floyd.

Spence could outwork Canelo if he came in light and fast and didn’t try to bulk up. Canelo isn’t knocking him out cause he simply doesn’t knock out anyone that’s worth a F. He doesn’t have a high work rate like Spence. In the Jacobs fight it was one punch at a time I don’t remember him throwing more than two punches at a time. Could be an interesting fight. It’s a big challenge tho moving up two weight classes. Moving up one is hard enough.

He did not throw more than 2 punches because Eddie told him not to do so, he said that Jacobs was so athetic and quick that if Canelo were to try his flashy combos he would get countered. That fighting style was made by design..

I can't disagree with anything you posted here except I think they both have good footspeed for guys there size.

In all honesty I don't think they should fight now, Spence should get more experience and bigger to make it a compelling fight.

Spence still has to unify WW and have a run a Sww.

Canelo still has to unify MW and have a run at SMW.

If both guys keep winning I see this as a future superfight, but right now is a no go from my part.

Glad you brought that up because I love that Clen-elo fans like to make excuses as to why Mayweather completely dominated him. "Oh, he was too green" Clen-elo already had 40+ fights when they fought, Spence had half that many when he fought Brook, yet he still won; Clen-elo didn't.
Oh, did you forget how A Meer Con was tagging Clen-elo until he got caught too? You know, a guy that's even smaller than Spence and Brook?
