Im sorry it cant be coincidence these American fighters are having a hard time getting an aj fight. It damn sure aint ducking. Either these really are lowball offers or they dont respect aj as an A sideComment

Ortiz said he would accept just about any money AFTER the Miller fight was already announced. Ortiz set his value.
Now you've gone to personal insults because you lost your argument.

Do you understand anything about boxing?heres ortiz months ago "ill take just about anything you offer"
hearn does not offer ortiz anything or contact him about a fight
hearn goes to miller and signs the fight...for miller to make 6.5
miller fails test...they now need opponent....ortiz wants what miller was getting
what ortiz said a couple of months ago means nothing because they never tried to negotiate with ortiz months ago and it was now known what hearn set the market at....grow up robbie you little ****** peon
You assume Ortiz should now get what Miller was getting. Why?
To the casuals who drive the viewing figures he's a nobody. So was Miller. The difference is that Miller could sell the fight. Unbeaten record, NY boy, big mouth. And a real big unit - that gets people excited.
And here's the other difference. Ortiz is the more credible boxer, and the more unorthodox to prepare for. Why would Joshua pay big money for a guy who is a bit of a risk and brings little to the table? Kownacki or Hunter would make a better promotion with less risk.
It's a voluntary defence. The obligation is absolutely on Ortiz to take the chance.
Now we don't know what Ortiz was offered. But if it's in the millions then it's a credible offer for the reasons stated above. Tbh, I don't even know why they would talk to Ortiz. No resume, no English, not American, not interesting, appears to be the riskiest fighter available.
All credit to Joshua if he's actually tried to make that fight. It could only be for sporting reasons.Comment
