Haymon has a lot more fire power, and therefore isn't risking as much with any one individual fight. Arum has had to be very very careful to keep himself in the game, so he's obviously going to be far more averse to risk.

Haymon also has a fiduciary duty to his fighters, Arum doesn't. If Spence vs. Crawford is the best thing for Spence, Haymon is obligated to act in Spence's best interest. If Spence vs. Crawford is the best thing for Crawford, Arum has no obligation to act in Crawford's best interest. Crawford works for Arum. Haymon works for Spence. Big difference.

It's also far more annoying when Arum keeps everything in house because there are far fewer in house match ups that people find interesting compared to some of the in house match ups Haymon can make.

It made a lot of sense for Crawford. Arum is paying him way more than he can make elsewhere. Way more than his fights generate. This has always been Arum's business model. Pay whatever it takes to make sure you have at least a couple important pieces. Otherwise, you risk being pushed out of the business. Remember, a few years ago, Gary Shaw had most of the dates on Showtime. Now he has nothing. All it takes is one or two crucial defeats to lose everything.

They all try to keep everything in house. Don't try to spin it just because you are paid to do so. I have been watching this sport for 40 years and I know how they all operate.

Nobody is denying that in house is everyone's preferred method of doing business.

I am not paid to spin anything. If I was posting spin, you would have tried to counter my points instead of attacking me personally.

My position was solid, leaving you with no moves other than emotional outbursts. If you've been watching 40 years, it's time to grow up.

Your argument was not sound. He may have a big stable, but just like Arum, only has a few guys right now with potential to make into stars. He will try to protect that investment and keep it in house just like Arum does. Fiduciary duty in Haymons case is sketchy. He may be a manager, but he also owns PBC, so he also has his own best interest to look after as a promotional outfit.

I was not attacking you. I was stating exactly what you have admitted in the past. You are a PBC employee. To what degree I have no idea. That alone though tells me you have a vested interest in their success that supersedes a normal fan of the sport. Unless your opinion is solely your own, then if that is the case you should put that disclaimer in your sig. Ask yourself this: Would you trust an Arum or Hearn employees opinion in here? Would you question the reason why they are posting in here? I certainly would.

Just going by Top rank/Bob Arum’s history, it’s difficult to see Crawford fighting the others, a lot of these fights don’t happen due to politics. I would love to see Arum or Haymon offering each other big money for both fighters to fight each other but that would never happen.

No, you are lying, and it's a ridiculous, purile lie aimed at poor unfortunate members who don't have enough brains to see through it. But I'm not one of them, thank God.

I know that the contract must have been for a fight this year because the WBA would never have given Hearn an extension on their mandatory deadline to negotiate a unification fight unless it was going to happen before the mando.

                  Simple logic innit.

Hearn admitted their was no date on the contract .. but that doesn't mean anything. Hearn and DiBella, Wilder's promoter, finalised a mandated fight between Jacobs and Derevyenchenko without any dates on the contracts.
