I feel like instead of addressing the issue, most AJ fans want to get into a game of semantics.
So 25% is a pretty decent opening offer, considering I don't think Windmill deserves more than 35%. What's Windmill's counter? Windmill's response is to cry in the media and call Joshua a ducker. I don't think Windmill wants to travel to the UK for that fight. He talks about going to others' backyards but when it gets serious, he reverts back to saying the fight should be in the States.

Whats even more crazy is the American hw champ turning down 12.5 million to go fight AJ but instead willing to go fight some no name for 2.5 million.

          • Sounds like Joshua wants to get knocked out in the US of A then if he's trying to make that money.

If it's the former, how is it reasonable for a fighter to get half of the total revenue (not profit). If it's the latter, then how can anyone support the $12.5M flat fee offer if $100M in purses is in the realm of possibility.

Joshua just threw a statement back in regards to 100million quoted by numerous people. If that fight is 100Million then he is willing to take 50% and sign the contract tomorrow. It doesnt get clearer than that.

He isn't the one that claimed someone is ducking and dodging him, or no more excuses. So if the accountants on these boards can get Showtime or any american networks to get that easy money then we would have the fight that we all craved. I want to see the fight thats why i want these two to sort out the offers on the table.

the 100mil was quoted by eddie hearn, there is really no way to figure out how much it will make. just like they did with parker they should work out a decent deal and sign the fight, not sure why all of these road blocks are all of a sudden issues, nobody asked how much parkers previous purse was. but now wilders last purse is the biggest topic? none of it matters... just negotiate and come up with a deal where Joshua the A side gets the bigger piece of the pie and move forward. The fight is in AJs backyard, he makes more, not sure why they are doing all of this after they negotiated and came up with a deal with the other champ parker.

                    • Here is how i take it. So, in Joshua's offer to Wilder, Joshua offered Wilder 12.5 million. Lets assume that in that offer, Joshua see's that his side would receive around 50 million. Now, Joshua says he don't care how its split up, as long as his side gets 50 million. That would put the total purse at 62.5 million. A percentage split from those numbers would make it an 80/20 split in Joshua's favor. If Wilder got the 60/40 split that he was asking for, that would be 25 million for wilder and 37.5 million for Joshua. Since nobody knows exactly how much this fight will do, a percentage split will be the best route for each fighter. That way, they both know that the more they sell the fight, the more money goes in their pockets. If the fight does 62.5+, then they both get more money. This ****** talk about i have to have this much money is rubbish. Just make the fight with a fair purse split and be done with it.
