    Strip the clown.

He talked his way out of the Canelo money now start taking his belts and then let's see how quickly he decides Canelo is clean.

What I understood from the article is: GGG is fighting Spike next. Great news. Yay.... Can't wait to see this. This will be the icing on GGG's unparalleled career in the history of all sports.

First off, who gives a rip what the WBC says about the IBF situation?

Second, your point is valid. If Alvarez is out, the IBF mando is next in the rotation and the #1 contender should be the first option if at all possible without Trip G being forced to do it I am a huge fan of Golovkin, and I totally agree it would be bad optics and dirty pool to not follow through on a common sense decision. Golovkin knows what it is like to be avoided. He should step up to his obligations.

Nope. The point of the article is that Derevyanchenko's team want the IBF to order Golovkin to fight Derevyanchenko next.

The IBF can't and won't strip him for not fighting his mando unless they have ordered him to do it. And if they don't order him to do it he is entitled to fight someone else instead.

That's the way it works, see?

But I sometimes think we on comment boards are like 24-hour news stations. We need SOMETHING to rail against, even if it is speculation. It has barely been a week since the biggest possible fight Golovkin could hope for fell to pieces. His team is trying to save a fight date. They are also not wanting to put the huge rematch totally out of their minds. Meanwhile, Golovkin- not getting any younger- wants to fight. Other fighters want this chance. Is it still a PPV? If not, does HBO have a budget to move it to a regular telecast and do they have a slot for it? How does this effect HBO's replay/new fight schedule the next week? Who wants the undercard? It is a ton of moving parts here.

Regardless of those who cheer for Trip G or the ones on this site who seem to make a sole purpose out of trolling him, we are arguing gossip at this point. Let's see what happens. There has to be a decision soon. Then we can all chose sides and slam it or cheer it.
Getting ready to write something nasty and then I read this...it kinda took the fun out of it.

I always liked how DiBella stands up for his fighters. Outspoken and cool.

GGG should've hired someone like him instead of this Loeffler guy. If GGG was promoted right and matched tough, his profile would've been something amazing. Sadly, it's too late.

This is dumb, that is not how it usually works. A petition for the order has brought us all here!!! That is the point. So for GGG’s benefit you are okay with the IBF looking the other way on its standard Mandatory guidelines? Guidelines that every one else must live by? But because they don’t make the order for GGG everyone should be cool with it? This is clearly some fan boy BS bro. Boxing is a sport.

I agree, not sure why others aren’t wearing the same lens. This is the problem, for fighters the like “fans,” look the other way on dirty politics. Will even watch watered down matches to protect favorite fighters from losing.
