I respect the authors point. Actually agree. But so long as boxers are willing to "crash into each other" and promoters and sanctioning bodies are not united to protect the boxers from themselves, is there anything that can be done?

This. This simple quote is my nominee for post of the year. Just copy and paste for all the sanctioning bodies, but it applies double to the hypocrites of the WBC....

Unfortunately. no. Unless corrupt judging is proven (bribes), the whole purpose of a three judge panel is to have neutral observers who score the fight based on what happens in the ring if a KO does not end the fight. That judgement has to stand.

Nah.... Nonito needs a light touch for a farewell fight and ride off to the Hall of Fame. He is done. Not quite a shell, he still has shown an ability to fight at a decent level. But he is not at a place he can compete with younger, hungrier fighters.

I have actually liked both of these guys so much in their careers. I have such mad respect for Chisora and his career. What a resume Chisora has. He is no Hall of Famer, but if there was a special wing for the journeyman who has fought almost everyone or nearly done it all, Mr. Chisora would be escorted in without one down vote....

No, I honestly did not mean to insinuate that. Zhang is for real. He is dangerous. But this version of AJ is a more cautious, ring general-type of fighter who still has power to KO at least equal to Zhang, with better endurance and an overall better motor round to round. I just see more ways AJ...
