As for Toney's run at HW, anybody who wins a world title at MW and goes on to beat top 5-10 contenders at HW...I'd consider the latter pretty impressive. Which is why only primarily HOF'ers have been able to do it. But we agree Toney is a HOF'er and nowhere near Broner so I think we generally agree.
But who did Jirov beat? What's his best win?

I just don't consider beating Holyfield's corpse and losing and drawing with the likes of Peter and Rahman impressive. Fair play for trying I guess

No I clearly said that Toney is way better than Broner in every way.

What I said is style wise and flaw wise there are comparisons and parrells which there clearly are. Broner is no where near Toney's level as a fighter or in regards to achievements he is basically a poor version of Toney but a version none the less.

Look foolish how? Because I'm not sucking him off like his fans would like? Tell me which part of any my posts in this thread bout Toney isn't true?

I hear you. That HW division wasn’t too impressive to begin with. But certainly going up and beating contenders is IMO.

James at least learned from Mccalum etc... and had much better skill set, but they both didn't reach what they could have done possibly. However James did great when you think of it.

AB was lucky in some ways to face smaller guys

James also fought in an era at 160 to HW where guys were great

he came all the way from being a p4p middleweight to do it 15 years later... 15 years! broner's goign to be dead or in jail in 15 years. i hope i'm wrong, but that's what i expect. and peter and rahman were very, very big HW. rahman has a knockout win over one of the greatest HW of all time and had a respectable career. great fighters? no. but FFS they were real HW and toney wouldn't ahve any business in the ring with them if he was just another adrien broner. andf you f#cking know it

what has broner done to make you think people won't think you're nuts when you compare the two? that's a serious question.

As in, there are comparisons there which I stated in my post.

Like I have said multiple times in this very thread, Broner is not on James Toney's level.

Toney is a first ballot HOF'er.

                What a "hater"

It's hilarious that if you point out flaws in a fighters style and skills and their resume and clearly provide evidence to back that up it is considered hate. Especially when it comes to the internets beloved fighters. I have been objective and fair with Toney's resume and I'm also open to objective discussion about it in wins that others consider better than I would such as Prince Charles and Barkley for example. But that's "hate" apparently.

What's the point in even having a discussion board open of when an opposing opinion comes along to a internet beloved fighter like Toney it is considered "hate" or "foolish" or "can't be taken seriously" despite the fact so far NO ONE has disputed anything I have said in this thread barring IMDAZED in regards to his HW run which we are now discussing.

                What a joke.

Well once again I have made it very clear that Broner is not on Toney's level.

But style wise, and in regards to their holes as fighters. They are similarites.

                    You say contenders plural.

                    Who were they?
