Chavez was stronger than Castillo, Maidana and Cotto, way better and stronger.

Chavez destroyed the life of Taylor.

And was made of steel, in his prime was unstoppable in 3 different divisions, was a tank, good defense, good pressing and great IQ to cut the ring, the best game inside of the history in boxing, great hook to the body and combinations.

Will be a hell of a fight.

Floyd never faced a guy like JCC.

      50/50

floyd is disciplined enough to outbox chavez for 12, but damn that chavez...it don't look like he's doing much, but at the end of 12 the other guy is a bloody, puffy pulp...war of atttrition favors chavez if floyd decides to be more offensive

        Nope, PBF wins

Mayweather has better boxing skills is taller longer with better stamina than meldrick Taylor

He is as elusive as Whitaker n can fight inside

JCC gets outpointed in a 8-4 type fight

Maybe Castillo, but Maidana and Cotto I don't know.

Taylor is an interesting point. Taylor could've fought differently but he kept putting himself in harms way and lost the fight by stoppage, a stoppage that still gets discussed.

I am sure Chavez brings a lot of things to the table that Floyd would have to deal with. But Floyd would have a significant speed advantage and you can't discount his reach. Very few boxers from 130-147 have the long arms that Floyd does. Those that do don't always use the reach effectively.

we will obviously never know but the whitaker/chavez fight IMO gives us a good idea. even if you go with chavez/taylor Taylor dominated most of that fight and easily would've won if he fought "with a lead" the way we expect Floyd to.

Jcc never faced a fighter like Floyd

He got a gift draw vs Whitaker n gift stoppage of Taylor with seconds left after being outboxed at least 8 rounds to 3

Frankie Randall outboxed him as well and he could have lost to Juan laporte and rocky lock ridge

JCC was not stronger than maidana and cotto ...he was a greater fighter tho....these guys were strong at welter whereas JCC never looked good past 140 nor very strong. Also he fought most of his career @ 135 or less n maidana n cotto were @ their prime as solid ww coming in @ 160+ fight night

JCC looked inept vs every elite rhythmic boxer he fought n was lucky not to have a few loses. Mayweather is far better than all of them.except sweet pea

you do realize mayweather beat better opposition, won titles in more divisions and started at 130 just like JCC

its pretty pathetic considering how many of you criticize his resume and opposition and he clearly beat better opposition and accomplished more than chavez...try to dispute it....you cant

not my problem you dislike Mayweather and have disdain for him.

margarito couldnt carry Castillo's jock strap....Far more skilled than 'Cheato and beat better opposition in his career.

You are not being honest about the Taylor fight. He was well ahead and the stoppage was questionable. Chavez gets all the credit for continuing to work and fighting like a possessed beast determined to win but please be more honest about what happened.
